Exclamation "You have got to be a special type of Moron to..."!

"You have got to be a special type of Moron to BOO the National Anthem"

So says Simon Jordan on Talksport as they debate Liverpool Fans antics at the FA Cup final (Live now)

Why did Liverpool fans BOO Prince William?

Why did Liverpool Fans BOO our own National Anthem?

Is it a push-back on Elitism?

Is it the victimhood of some Liverpool fans?

Will all the BOOers still take the Bank Holidays for the Queen's Platinum?

Have you seen the Sourness vid begging Rangers fans not to get up to their usual antics abroad, LT?

Can you explain your comment about the victimhood of Liverpool fans, please?

All the royals had to do was publicly apologise to Princess Meghan, this will continue.

Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle told The Mail on Sunday: “I utterly condemn any fans who booed Prince William at Wembley.

“The FA Cup final should be an occasion when we come together as a country. It should not be ruined by a minority of fans’ totally shameful behaviour. In this year of all years – the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee – this is dreadful.”

Conservative MP and former Culture Secretary Karen Bradley added: “It is utterly unacceptable and disgraceful that fans booed Prince William. I would urge the FA to take all necessary action and pursue those responsible.”

Sir Ed Davey, leader of the Liberal Democrats, said: “We have the most wonderful Monarch and those fans who booed do not represent their clubs or our country.

The can boo all they like for me and they can claim that they're not English but Scouse, but if they don't class themselves as English then why do the want to be a part of the English football league?

They don't like the Royal family, that's fine, but their captain accepted an MBE from the Queen, they should probably start booing him too.

And they claim they don't support England but they soon start whining if their players don't get chosen to represent the England national team.

You expect logical consistency from the kind of lunatics who'd boo their own national anthem and royal family?

I doubt they'd have boo'd Wee Liz which is (IMO) illustrative of the future of the monarchy. It'll die with her. Slowly, over several decades, it'll outlast Charles even, but it'll all ultimately be over with The Queen. She's been reigning monarch for so long that not many have another in living memory. Britain does not have a monarchy... Britain has "The Queen" and no one will ever view Charles or William in that same light. That goes for both domestic and international perception.

You do realise that blues generally support the booing, it's just been so long since they had the opportunity to show it, that this part has been forgotten.

Why would Henderson accepting an honour matter to the protests of the city? Gerrard has an MBE too? It's their job, and representing their country is drummed into footballers from the time they start playing as the greatest honour, so not even sure what this really means.

I don't know any fans that give a sh1t about England. Lots of people don't even understand or are aware of the history. I mean, people who are aware of it still pretend they don't understand it, like this forum

Free speech though, right?

I think it’s just a lot of peoples frustrations boiling to the surface at what’s been going on in the UK recently and I suppose maybe some people are just feeling that there’s nothing to be proud of either.

I do feel bad for Prince William because I don’t think he really deserved the reaction he got (having said that I could imagine if it was Prince Harry, people would say it was justified which it still wouldn’t be).

There’s been a lot of tension in the UK with a cost of living crisis, the investigation into the governments Covid gatherings, the Meg & Harry bull**** etc. and a football game really should be an escape from all that crap that’s been going on, so I suppose when the national anthem started playing, I think the booing was more to do with these things and how people feel about the state of the country at the moment.

Do I think the booing was the correct thing to do? Honestly no although I can understand why some may have done it but I think the better thing to have done was to not sing the national anthem at all.

i think at lot moans/complaining, home and abroad, is related to the fact that they are pushing the boat out for a celebration of an elitist, over privileged family that no-one respects in the least. Yeah, people will congratulate the queen, she has been around a long time, but the rest of the family are a pretty shameful bunch that don't deserve any respect at all

I think the monarchy is safe for many years to come.
IF the monarchy were abolished, the Royals would still be super privileged with their mega riches, all their valuable assets, the palaces they own outright and land. They can live a life of luxury without having to do all the boring stuff like opening hospitals and visiting schools, entertaining dignitaries and so on...

Their charities and tourism to the UK would be the entities to suffer the loss. Granted, the taxpayers will save themselves the £1.23 they pay for the Royals per annum. Whoopee!
The real losers would be Harry and Meghan, who won’t be Royal any more either so the very thing their ‘brand’ is surviving from financially - their Royal connection’ - would be gone.
Every cloud has a silver lining.
