Do you have them in your town?
They've been in Bristol a while and I think they're fantastic. Traffic is awful in most of the city and public transport is crap so they're perfect for getting around distances of 2-3 miles. Google maps is great at giving navigation for them as well and it can take you through great shortcuts and beautiful areas away from the main roads |

Electric bikes are a great innovation as well, they seem to have exploded recently. My Mum has one now and uses it quite a lot having gone years without being able to do much exercise because of knee problems |

[Pensioner, 71, killed by e-scooter in Rainworth ridden by 14-year-old boy [A pensioner has died in hospital six days after she was hit by an e-scooter being ridden by a 14-year-old boy. Nottinghamshire Police said 71-year-old Linda Davis, known to her family and friends as Lou, was in Southwell Road East, Rainworth, when the collision involving a privately-owned electric scooter happened on the pavement at around 3.50pm on Thursday June 2. She was taken to hospital but died last Wednesday. Nottinghamshire Police said in a statement: "The rider, a 14-year boy, remained at the scene and contacted emergency services." "He has since been interviewed under caution and remains under investigation while enquiries continue."] https://www.itv.com/news/central/202...oned-by-police You could edit your title adding : 14 year old E Scooter Kills 71 lady] Last edited by arista; 15-06-2022 at 07:16 AM. |

Yes, “regular” bicycles as well. One of the reasons it’s so much more dangerous is that pedestrians will (generally) look before stepping out onto a road - but not when, say, stepping out of a garden gate or doorway onto a pavement. So they could literally step out in front of you with no warning. It’s still a metal object travelling at speed and can do plenty of damage, especially to a small child or elderly person (for the elderly any fall can be very serious). |
