Have you guys seen the picture of Rogue for the revival of X-Men 92?

For some reason I can't link very well on my Tablet.

Just go to Twitter and you'll see the picture that I saw.

Now don't get me wrong I understand that it's a kids Show, so obviously sexualized characters shouldn't really be that prominent in the Show, especially for a 27 year old, that is more than fair.

But where the Californian mindset does lose me, is why can't she at least look feminine? Why does Hollywood have an issue with any of their Animated/Video Game characters looking feminine? What kind of mental illness should we even call it?

Because there's two things that Hollywood needs to get into their braincells.

1. Women can be less sexualized and still look feminine, there are unattractive women in this world that don't look like a product of incest, or been experimented on in a Lab.

2. Women can be a feminist icon whilst still being attractive, something that these weird Hollywood people just don't seem to understand. That's not just about X-Men 97, this goes for a lot of works in Animation and Video Games.

But there are Anime fans out there that are normal tbf.

Life hack: if someone says that pronouns in email signatures or profiles etc is REQUIRED for inclusion, point out that REQUIRING pronouns might actually force people who are questioning their gender identity, or are not yet ready to "out" their gender identity, to disclose something that is triggering or uncomfortable. Point out that one would never, ever REQUIRE people to declare their sexuality, and that requiring them to declare their gender in writing is exactly the same. If you want to cite precedent, point out that Diversity and Inclusion surveys on forms will typically include an "I'd rather not say" option for both gender and sexuality.

Then watch them try to process the Catch 22.

But it is, also, actually true so if they DO care in fact about people's comfort they should no longer require the inclusion of gender pronouns in email signatures.

If you want to go the extra mile there's also a strong argument to be made for specifically NOT including gender pronouns in case it inadvertantly pressures others to make a gender declaration that they're not fully comfortable sharing .

Indeed, it all came from an actual work situation with someone who goes by they/them at work. The DEI lead tried to encourage everyone to start putting pronouns in their email signature, and this employee had to explain that while they go by they/them with family, friends and colleagues they wouldn't actually want it in an email signature they'd be using to contact people outwith the company and so to include pronouns would feel forced to use he/him (being both biologically male and for the mostpart male-presenting) - and pointed out that actually, when you're emailing someone, you sign off with your name and your gender is 99% of the time entirely irrelevant.

A bill that will ban certain flags, including Pride flags, from Tennessee classrooms was
