Daily Update: Day 29 Shown: Tonight, Wednesday 6th July 10pm on Channel 5 On tonight’s show: This week’s shopping task comes to an end, Jackson and Lateysha are overwhelmed by their video messages and Andy gets upset with Hughie & Ryan On tonight’s Big Brother’s Bit On The Side with Rylan Clark-Neal at 11.05pm on Channel 5, guests include Kerry Katona, Vanessa Feltz, Luke Kempner and Annabelle Knight Key highlights and quotes from tonight’s show: • This is the final day of the shopping task, temptations from the outside world will be offered to some of the housemates. Josh, Ed and Bernardo are still in the House. • Evelyn is talking to Big Brother in the diary room; “There’s so much romance and I want it!” • Charlie tries to talk to Jason, he tells her that Lateysha told him she called him a game player; Charlie denies this. He tells her; “Stop playing so innocent now, you’ve lied and you’ve cheated.” • Charlie is upset in the toilet; Jayne and Lateysha comfort her. Lateysha confirms to Charlie that she did mention to her that Jason is game playing • Jackson is in the diary room; “We are going to feel a bit of resentment towards the people who got to see their loved ones, and who have been selfish.” • It’s time for Bernardo, Ed and Josh to leave the house • Housemates are still divided about Laura, Emma and Andy’s decision to use up limited loyalty points to see their loved ones for a second time. Emma understands why housemates would be upset with her. Jackson reveals; “I honestly say I wouldn’t have turned if I was in that position.” • Sam, Jackson, Lateysha and Laura are called to take part in the task. Jackson tells his housemates that he won’t turn around, as he doesn’t want his housemates to suffer. Housemates advise him if he’s given a temptation, he should turn around • Jackson and Lateysha are tempted by a video message from their children. Lateysha immediately turns around, however Jackson resists. Lateysha, Laura and Sam plead him to push his pod button • Jackson and Lateysha are overcome with emotion whilst watching their children on a plasma screen in the garden. Lateysha yells; “She’s walking! She’s walking!” • The happy pair return to the house, greeted with hugs from their housemates • Alex uses up five loyalty points to see his sister, she tells him everyone is proud of him • Next up as part of the task, Evelyn is tempted with a phone call from her father in Australia, Chelsea is tempted with a phone call from his daughter, Charlie is tempted with a phone call from her best friend and Jayne is tempted with a phone call from her nephew • The four housemates turn around to receive their calls • Evelyn’s dad tells her that he’s proud and it’s good to see her doing house work • Jayne’s nephew explains to her; “There is someone in the house that is being very creative with the truth behind your back. Make sure you address it and that he knows you mean business…” She believes that her nephew is talking about Chelsea • Charlie’s best friend advises her; “Please stay away from him [Jason], he’s a snake, he wants to win!” • Chelsea’s daughter tells him she’s proud and misses him • As housemates used up all their loyalty points, they failed this week’s shopping task • In the bedroom, Jayne is relaying her phone call to some of her housemates; “I’m ******ing fuming. He said a certain person is spreading lies about you.” Video - https://spaces.hightail.com/receive/WT4GB • On the sofas, Jayne asks Chelsea if he has been spreading lies about her. He denies it and asks what she’s been told on the phone call. She tells him that she will ‘now stay clear of him’ • In the garden, Hughie and Ryan are pranking some of their housemates, Ryan announces; “This sounds really bizarre but he’s actually proposed to me!” The pair kiss and housemates question their news • Andy remarks; “If they are being serious then good luck to them! It’s a very serious commitment, do you think you should spend time outside of the house?” • Andy gets up and heads to the bedroom. He tells Jackson; “Anyone can get engaged at anytime they want to, that’s important. But when I think about the people who have fought for generations to do what they’ve just done. You have to mean it, be sincere. You don’t just say it! Sorry….I swear if they are taking the ******ing p*ss I will lose my temper!” • In the garden, Laura advises housemates not to take Hughie and Ryan seriously. Andy states; “They should not joke and not make a mockery of what people have fought for generations for. It’s not about me.” Andy gets up and heads to the pod • Ryan and Hughie are shocked by Andy’s reaction • In the pod, Hughie asks to speak to Andy. Andy tells him; “My point of view. People say it’s a joke but I’m saying if it’s a joke it’s sick. You should be ashamed of yourself.” The pair starts to argue. Hughie comments that Andy is trying to ‘twist this’ and ‘how is this sick?’ Jackson calms Hughie down • Evelyn and Alex are playing footsy and ‘connecting’ on the sofas • Andy is upset in the diary room; “I’ve let this get to me. It does really matter. My ring represents all of the people who’ve wanted to wear this ring before, and all of the people who want to wear it now, and they weren’t or not allowed, and that’s why two boys playing a prank matters.” • In the smoking area, Jackson reveals to Alex that Evelyn likes her • In the living area, Andy clarifies to Hughie that he didn’t mean he ‘was sick’ and it was too strong, however he was offended. Hughie says thank you • Hughie explains to Andy; “Me and Ryan would never joke about a huge thing like that, that we are a part of. We had a joke and I’m sorry you’re upset about it.” • Andy is alone in the smoking area, he whispers to himself; “Why can’t you keep you mouth shut sometimes…”
