Celebrity Big Brother 13 launch attracts 3.4 million viewers

Celebrity Big Brother 2014 has got off to a flying start with Friday's launch show attracting 3.4 million viewers according to the combined Channel 5 and Channel 5 +1 viewing figures.

The show's viewing figures peaked at 4.17 million viewers at around 10.00pm as model Casey Batchelor arrived and was handcuffed to Blue star Lee Ryan.

Big Brother came second in the 9pm-11pm timeslot, with only BBC One showings of Silent Witness, BBC News and The Graham Norton Show beating it.

Also, the launch edition of Bit On The Side also attracted an impressive 1.13million viewers during the 11pm - midnight timeslot.
