The Sun reported that journalist Julie Burchill has been offered a place in the next series of Celebrity Big Brother, and that she would be paid £300,000.
The Sun article also said that she had apparently spoken to several people about the offer, attempting to find out what former housemates Liz Jones and Samantha brick were paid for appearing on the show, and this might damage her chances of appearing.
A source is quoted: "Julie would be great on the show as she is mouthy and feisty but part of the deal is you are not allowed to tell people the offer - The fact she has means producers may not now go ahead"
