Danny Dyer turned down Celebrity Big Brother before getting Eastenders role

Actor Danny Dyer has a new book out called 'Life Lessons from the East End' and in it he wrote that he turned down an offer to appear in Celebrity Big Brother, just before he was cast in Eastenders.

Presumably this was for the Celebrity Big Brother 12 series, in 2013, or CBB13 in January 2014, as this was around when he started in Eastenders.

"Just before I got the EastEnders job I wasn't getting much work. Big Brother came knocking on my door, they thought I'd be perfect for them but I just didn't think I could do it. To me, it's such a full stop on your career. It's an admission that you're skint and need money. I'm glad I swerved it in the end."
