Darren Day
The Sun is reporting that actor and theatre star Darren Day has signed up for Celebrity Big Brother starting in January 2016.
The newspaper claims producers are hoping that the actor will talk on the show about his former relationships:
A 'source' in the newspapers says: "Darren's telly dynamite and producers think that viewers will love to hate him.
"But no one will hate him as much as all the women he used during his days as a love rat.
"There's going to be a lot of people out there very worried about what secrets he reveals during his time on the show."
He has appeared in many musicals such as Summer Holiday, Grease, Godspell, The Rocky Horror Show, Hello Dolly and Great Expectations, and has appeared in pantomime many times. His breakthrough as an actor came when he starred in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on the West End.
He has presented television shows such as You Bet! and Don't Try This at Home!, and was a contestant in the first series of I'm a Celebrity. In the 1990s and 2000s his personal life was featured regularly in the newspapers, with a number of high-profile relationships and drug problems. He was unfortunately declared bankrupt in 2006.
He first appeared in Hollyoaks in 2010.
Celebrity Big Brother returns to Channel 5 in January 2016 with a vaudeville and Victorian themed house.
