I'm getting my Maths module 1 result in afternoon registration tomorrow apparently. Not really looking forward to it, but then I suppose I'm lucky that I have the chance to resit it if I need to!
Good luck to others getting their module results tomorrow or sometime this week.

Well done Sol.
I was supposed to get my actual Maths C1 grade today, but the new exam timetable/results man messed it up a bit because he's new to the system I think. Anyway, I still managed to find out that I got '71' which at first I thought was a percentage, but turns out it's some sort of points system? :puzzled:
It's annoying though because this one boy got 100! And others in the 90s range. So I'd rather just find out what's going on, if anyone knows it'd be appreciated!
But I find out tomorrow morning in registration anyway...
Thanks Ash.
If you got 71/100 then that's a B so well done. But sometimes they mark it out of 90 or sometimes even 120 so I don't know.
Good luck anyway cos I have friends who took AS maths last year and they ended up failing the entire course cos they found it so hard, so 71 sounds great!

Thanks everyone! I'm expecting it to be a B but I'll find out for sure tomorrow. It is well confusing, so I'd rather just be told.
The official results date was next week, was that for everyone? For us we were told we get to find out early in case people want to re-sit and that. Even if people get Bs and Cs which are pretty good, in subjects such as Maths where you're always using the same skills, you may as well give it another shot! If this was an English Lit module however, I probably wouldn't want to look over so many different texts.
Anyway, OMG good luck Lauren!!! I'm sure you'll be fine.

I prepared NOTHING for it, got a bollocking from the teacher for day dreaming and not taking notice, argued with my best friend because she splashed pink paint all over my jumper (which doesn't wash out) and I nearly fainted.

See that's where they trick you. You concentrate on getting the easier questions right. Time goes by and you get to the last question. It's worth loads of marks but it's solid and you just don't have alot of time to do it. It's happened to me loads!

Well done Mark on answering all the questions.
Been speaking to my Psychology/Sociology teacher and she said in the next Psychology exam I only need to get an E, to get an overall grade of B. She said I need 105/120 marks to get an A though, which she thinks is unlikely.
Sociology is similar, in finals exams I only need DD() or CE to get a B overall.
English I'm on for a B too.
So looks like my final A Levels may be BBB. Although Lancaster entry requirements state I need ABB, Sol said they're pretty lenient if it's just one grade out.

English I'm on for a B too.
So looks like my final A Levels may be BBB. Although Lancaster entry requirements state I need ABB, Sol said they're pretty lenient if it's just one grade out.

Lol I daren't, I'll probably find out they're all the day after eachother or even on the same day like it was last year for French and Psychology.

LOL Mines 24th of June - thankfully, a Sunday!
I checked the timetables but I can barely remember any of the dates. My last exam is on the 27th, I think. And then after that I can go out and celebrate my 18th!
By the way, just firmed Lancaster. On TSR they said they're lenient with entry requirements so I'm just gonna keep my fingers crossed.

RIGHT.
I've finally made a decision.
I'm re-sitting Sociology Religion - hopefully getting an A or B.
THEN - For my C&D and T&M Sociology exam I am striving for an A or B - and hoping to get an A overall.
So my overall grades (hopefully) will be ABB, which means I'm secured a place in Lancaster.

I've got quite a few exams in the summer as well because our school doesn't tend to focus on modules too much in January. That means in the summer I really need to focus as I have my 3 Chemistry papers for each of the three units (1 hour each), 3 Maths papers (C1, C2 and Statistics), two fairly long English Lit exams based on three texts, as well as the four necessary French tests in the examination (i.e. Speaking, Reading, Writing, Listening). That's quite a lot!

This year at my school for Year 11 the students' official study leave starts 17th May.

Well done to everyone who's had exams recently, at least it's over! Like I said I messed my Maths up completely, but I've got the opportunity to sort that. English on Friday (great).
Had my Chemistry practical today, and kind of completely messed up. I'm quite upset but I swear it's made me more hyperactive! I ended up putting the wrong solution in the burette and all that - well, at least I didn't break anything. Not that I would've had marks taken off because it's about the technique, but would've had a bollocking off my teacher (who's scary). So yeah, all in all I don't really want my mark but the good news is at least that stupid practical is over, because I've been dreading it for a while.

I messed up the poetry to.
Did you have the poem 'Shopkeeper'?
nahh i did of mice and men and clarke/heanys poems, had to compare 4 poems but seeing aswe had only started learning them like a month before the exam, it was a bit of a disaster really lol! but oh well lets just hope the others are better
Ditto, i did Of Mice and Men and Clarke, and Heaney poems too. I did the first question for the poem though because it was split into a) and b) so it was easier to answer rather than comparing 4, you compared 2 twice.
My next one is Maths on the 4th or 5th.

 Well done everyone! Aack I cut my finger under my thumbnail, and I think it's infected. Though it's on my left hand, and I'm right-handed, so it could be worse. x___x annoying though.
I really don't want to start Chemistry revision today. I might put it off. xD

That's quite lucky mcq, are you not going to have to take your GCSEs at all then? It's good they've taken your illness into consideration, but get well soon anyway!
I've got my English Literature (AS) exam tomorrow, I'm having a bit of a break now till half 7, going to eat and then attempt to revise, lol. I've looked over bits and bobs. I'm not too good at my novel and poems, seeing as I've not even read my novel properly, but I'm not too worried about those because at least I get to take the texts in! So tonight I'm going to focus on my Shakespeare play...

It went alright, better than the poems. I did the first question though which was reading that passage and answering the question on George & Lennie about how their description set the scene for their behaviour in the play or something like that.
Plus, i remembered to write in paragraphs for this part.

Oosh, that's pretty hard going - a few of my friends were in the same boat. I had English Lit today anyway, but I really fail to understand why the exam boards do this. It's the same exam board - OCR - isn't it? I can sort of understand why it's fairly early on, perhaps because it takes a while to mark, but I don't get why both subjects have to be on the same day. And quite a few people take both of these subjects within their combination (well, they seem to) so it seems a bit stupid.
Anyway, I hope all went OK - least it's over! :spin2:
This week I've had French writing exam, French comprehension exam and Welsh Literature exam. (AS exams). I've still got a History and two more French exams to do. Then they'll be over.

Just dont forget if you have marks for this thing called written communication write anything, even if you dont know the answer, if you spell it all correctly they give you like 3 free marks. Plus can you really revise for art? i thought you just had to draw something lol :joker:

my art papers written
we do a folio type thing for the drawing part and send that away and a design part and send that away then you have to write about 2 artists and their work and 2 designers and their work then youhave to write about a painting that they will have a picture of on the daya nd your write about someones design and you have to write about that
it can be something as silly as a fork and you have to write a whole essay on it lol
thats lucky they all fitted in wtih bb then :)
mine will all be over with at the end of this week so its not too bad
