Damaging winds, up to storm force, are set to target central and southern Scotland, peaking during this afternoon into the evening rush hour.
Gusts may exceed 80mph.
Disruption to travel is likely, and there is also significant risk of structural damage.
Valid until 0600 Friday.

Snow is likely for a time this morning in central and northern Scotland, mostly over higher ground but with some slush at lower levels.
Some travel disruption is possible.

As a cold northwesterly airstream establishes across the UK snow showers will return to affect parts Northern Ireland, Scotland, northwest England and north Wales.

Accumulations are likely in the north even to low levels, but should be confined high ground across northern England and north Wales.
Untreated surfaces will also become icy a times.
Valid from 0000 Friday to 2359 Saturday.
