Rumours going around that Pep Guardiola has told Barcelona that he wants to quit and take a break from management for a while...
ION Diego Maradona has said that the Manchester derby is more important than El Classico:rolleyes:, he is only saying that because his son-in-law (Sergio Aguero) is playing for Manchester City, delusional man.

Give it an extra few Billion spent by Man City and I think it might overtake it.
Only a matter of time until City finally win the title, if not this year and then it will be up to us to end their dominance the same way we done to Arsenal & Chelsea.

Yeah most people are resigned to City winning the title at some stage, whether it is this season or in another unfortunately...

United Vs Arsenal were the days. The matches always delivered. Chelsea was more a case of wanting to shut up their arrogant fans. I'm too young to have witnessed Liverpool's dominance.

Prefer it now where you have 7 or 8 teams capable of making champions league, Chelsea will be competing for the title again soon I think and Arsenal and Tottenham are both easily capable of beating the two Manchester teams on their day, as are Liverpool and maybe even Newcastle atm

Arsenal were brilliant in the days of Henry etc, pizza gate was brilliant and when Keown and co kicked off at RVN and got owned by the FA:joker:.
Part of the challenge for Pep is to try his luck elsewhere, new league new country etc...

We need someone who can press teams and keep the ball under pressure. Bastian would be THE ideal man but he would never ever leave Bayern. Gaitan,Hazard etc are not needed. We have Nani,Valencia & Young ffs :joker:

Would be nice :)

Honestly do think we will finish in the bottom half, we aren't capable of finishing teams off in the league. Luckily Magic McLeish will lead Villa to an away draw tomorrow and ensure we stay above West Brom

Championship adopting FFP eventually as well, squeeky bum time if the hammers don't go up this season
They must have put themselves in all sorts off debt with their wages this season
In the Drunk Tank
28-04-2012, 01:20 AM
Don't know much about it tbh, what sort of limitations does it put in place?

King Gizzard
28-04-2012, 01:26 AM
you can't spend money that isn't earned through profit (i think)
that's why City got naming rights for their stadium for more money, you can't just spend willy nilly out of your back pocket leaving the club in debt
King Gizzard
28-04-2012, 01:26 AM
so basically you can't try buy yourself out of the league like leicester are trying to do
bbfan1991
28-04-2012, 01:29 AM
UEFA wanted FFP rules to kick in too soon apparently for the coming seasons, so there is a limit on the money clubs like Barca, Madrid, City, Chelsea, Anzhi Makhachkala, PSG and Malaga spend etc or they will be punished if they go over the limit...
King Gizzard
28-04-2012, 01:31 AM
But it's basically meaning in the long run the big clubs stay rich and the small clubs stay poor, sugar daddy's can't just walk in now
In the Drunk Tank
28-04-2012, 01:32 AM
Ah right :/ think it is sometimes necessary to do what we've done though, try and keep some core premier league players so that we can get straight back up again and try and make sure we stay there
bbfan1991
28-04-2012, 01:33 AM
There will always be a gap in terms of money teams have or are worth, no matter how UEFA etc can try and say they have tried to curb it.
