I don't have any problems with Hendo. Think he's a confidence player, who tends to perform when the team's doing well - but I guess as he matures he'll be able to take more control of the midfield.

think of it as my bias, but the guy's got plenty of technique. Though technique and England national side, don't tend to usually together.

I do like Henderson (partially cause he was a beast for me on FM) just think that price tag didn't do him any favours

Even adding the young-english-player inflation to it it's still far too much

is he actually any good on FM? I got him on loan for my Sevilla season, haven't tried him though.

I see where you're coming from, and it's just unfortunate English players have such an inflated price to their name, let alone if he's young. Even though his initial fee was undisclosed, I'd still pick him over Phil 'Confused' Jones.

It was obvious Kenny was always be going to be given time though because he is a Liverpool legend. Roy Hodgson is not and as we know in football now teams do not have patience!

Even if Liverpool win the FA Cup now to add to the Carling Cup, it does not disguise the fact that the club have not made the top 4 again because the money that comes from the Champions League and TV deals etc is really good and it helps to attract quality players of course.

Roy didn't get even half the money that Kenny's had at Liverpool so of course his signings was going to be not up to standard.

He didn't have a transfer window under FSG, they took over after the summer window and he was sacked at the start of the winter one.

Anyway, if you're on such a limited budget then you're comitting suicide by blowing the Mascherano money on what he did. He done well signing Meireles though, I'll give him that.

Kenny gets a lot of critisism for the awful league performance an some of the signings, all you have to do is have a look on RAWK. It is a forum of legendkillers but mentioning Sterling every 5 minutes instead of Pogba.

FSG will give him time but they've already shown they're not happy with the performance this year by getting rid of a lot of the backing staff. Kenny won't be here this time next year unless there is a massive improvement in the league, and to be honest I wouldn't say it's a guarantee that he'll be here in 3 months time when the season kicks off either.

I have had a read of RAWK believe it or not before, they do go a bit overboard like Redcafe does sometimes:p.

The owners have no choice but to keep faith in Kenny now because at this current moment Liverpool needs stability and not more change, as that would be another setback IMO.

Question is would Liverpool be able to attract quality players despite not being in top 4? A club like Liverpool is a big name obviously, but as we know most quality players want to go where the big money is or where they think the lure of silverware is...

Locke.

We won't be able to compete with City/Utd/Chelsea/Spurs when it comes to signing players but we should be more than capable to get a few really good players in, just depends if we actually go for them or not.

One proven goalscorer is needed desperately. Kuyt and Maxi will both leave so will both need replacing, just hope we sign actual out and out wingers to replace them though. Adam will leave I think so we could maybe do with signing one new CM (or keep Aquilani), especially if Gerrard's injury problems carry on. Defensively we're pretty good, only change needed there is Coates to become third choice CB over Carra.

01-05-2012, 04:18 PM
I've just logged in to have a laugh at the In-ger-lund fans, and to add my two penneth worth in the Woy/England comedy future.

Roy wasn't liked, not because he wasn't Kenny, but because he is a horrible horrible bastard.

The first thing he said was that he hopes his good friend, Alex Ferguson, forgives him for taking the Liverpool job. As a Liverpool manager, you should never offer yourself to the altar of the racist knight.

He's also a liar, and was caught out many times, including claiming credit for bringing Kenny in to the fold, and lying about Rafa's role in it.

His constant lowering of expectations was also a ***** trick. After managing the 5 times European Champions to a victory against a poor Turkish team, he claimed it was a "famous victory" for the club.

Whilst the fans were fighting to prevent the club going into administration, Roy had a go at the fans for protesting.

England fans are about to find out just what a vindictively small man Roy Hodgson is. The public image of him being this lovely, experienced gent is a fallacy, and falls to pieces upon the merest examination.

When he was spewing a stream of bile at Liverpool, no one took any notice, as his journalist cheerleader friends (I'm looking at you Messrs Barclay and Winter) ignored what was actually happeneing, and concentrated on those nasty Liverpool hooligans treating this great man abhorrently.

This is the Emperors new appointment, and I'm glad that the country will get a small dose of what we had to deal with.

bbfan1991
