Ok remember when i was saying that the low figures would kill the series average and other members were saying it would hardly affect it as BB13 is is averaging 1.9 million?
Take a look at these figures.
Week 6 averaged: 1.32
Week 7 averaged: 1.19
Week 8 is unofficially averaging 1.0
Running average for the series: 1.59
Dont take these as 100% accurate but it seems about right.
Sorry but I think you have been looking at Wikipedia an the ratings on there are just not reliable, the officials for week 6 still haven't been released and the official average for week 7 is 1.4 so the running average is still around 1.75 because we don't have all the figures in yet.

1.30m including +1 makes it the highest rating since Lauren's eviction (9 days ago).
At least it's going up, I reckon this week could beat the previous 3 weeks in terms of ratings.

Last night got 1.32m excluding +1 which would make it one of the highest 10pm ratings excl +1 of the series. With +1 I think it got 1.40m as someone from DS said.

I think the best thing to do is to accept that the ratings this series won't be any good. True, these are piss poor ratings but still. Since its move to Channel 5 it's been at this level. As long as it can maintain its audience. At least for now.

It hasnt been at this level since moving to Channel 5.
Its been rating lower than BB12 for weeks now.
I really don't think channel 5 give a crap about the ratings.. They never advertise their show, other than occasionally on channel 5. They intentionally attract controversy, which thus far has only decreased the viewing audience, yet they have not done anything to resolve this. They have lots of deals with Morrisons etc. that will make them a lot of money, which is what they care about, not viewing figures

Ofcourse Channel 5 care about ratings.
Richard Desmond wouldnt have talked about them if they didnt.
Ratings are very important to a channel.

1.11m for last night. Yes, it's low, but in the 9pm slot, the 2nd place after the Olympics got 2.1m, so BBC is destroying every single channel. Channel 4 struggled and only got 1 show above 1m.
Tonights, Weds and Thursday's 10pm slots will help out the ratings, last week, the 10pm ones were getting 1.2-1.3m excl +1, around 1.3-1.4m incl +1. That proves that around 300k of the audience watch the Olympics over BB, understandable.
STILL NO RATINGS FOR FRIDAY!!

Though overall ratings were higher* than the previous series, the episode broadcast on 12 August recorded the lowest figures in the programme's history at just 483,000 (being broadcast at the same time as the 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony).

I went to BARB and used their ratings to average out every week. If i'm right they're excluding +1?
5th June - 10th June: 1.91 Million - Highest Show was Launch
11th June - 17th June: 1.72 Million - Highest Show was Thursday Night Highlights
18th June - 24th June: 1.59 Million - Highest Show was Thursday Night Highlights
25th June - July 1st: 1.54 Million - Highest Show was Thursday Night Highlights
2nd July - 8th July: 1.60 Million - Highest Show was the Eviction
9th July - 15th July: According to Wiki the average was 1.37
16th July - July 22nd: 1.40 Million - Highest Show was the Eviction
23rd July - 29th July: 1.31 Million - Highest Show was Thursday Highlights
30th July - 5th August: 1.53 Million - Highest Show was Eviction Night
August 6th - Finale Night: 1.31 Million - Highest Show was Thursday Highlights
So in total. the average in my addition was: 1.52 Excluding +1

It didn't beat it ..... the series average was the same, but it seem that, whereas the daily/weekly figues for last year were more or less consistent, there were more highs and lows this year ..... :idc:
