omfg people had alliances
reading this i never suspected anyone to align

Really? You have to form some alliances in games like this or you'll struggle to survive and win.

It's called trust Dylan :idc:
Tbh I did ask you to ask Niall what his name was and then you did
Yes I know we always trust each other in our alliances but I couldn't be dealing with both of us in the final again where I looked like your sidekick and you the one who did all the dirty work. :hmph:
The whole game was about not trusting people, someone was a killer after all

Just out of interest if you had been team leader when I was and we passed which two would you have sent to isolation?

Just out of interest if you had been team leader when I was and we passed which two would you have sent to isolation?
I'd like to say I would have gone with you and Marc (despite whoever Marc tried to get me to send LOL) but I was under the impression task 8 had a team leader before task 7 started, so I reckon I would've been too scared to send Marc out of fear of him surviving and really hating me for backstabbing him
So I'm not sure on my 2nd, possibly Mollie again for the lols and you since I never spoke to you much outside of the game so getting rid of you would've been easier for me to do :joker:
It's really, really not :p

Grats Mollie :)
BTW have we found out who the second killer was?
Everybody wanted everybody out of the game.
Except Lee, she was nice and untargetted
Yes I can vouch for Survivor not being popularity based, only game I ended up in about 708238530 alliances in
Grats Mollie :)

Thank you very muchly Apple

When she was voted out I wanted to cry forever
I laughed a little but felt bad
Didn't realise she had many alliances though
Benjamin
31-10-2012, 10:27 PM
I know who the second killer is.
And Doogle had you done that my vote still wouldn't have gone to you, lol. My vote was always going to go to the player who made the biggest and boldest moves to get into the final. Sending me and Marc probably would have got you my vote.
My final vote was between Novo and Lemonjam, was tough to choose which one as both played a good game in different ways.
Ben claims to know who the second killer is.. Won't say though

I genuinely could not keep up with the alliances in Survivor because there was never a consistent vote where I could see who was voting with who.
Locke.
31-10-2012, 10:32 PM
I didn't think we were allowed to have alliances or discuss things like votes and stuff like that with other people, and (for once) I decided to not cheat or anything... And it looks like everyone else other than Mollie (a professional liar, I might add) had all kinds going on behind the scenes.
Time to get the cheating back on the go for the next game I have lined up
I wasn't in any Alliances throughout the game, had a few dodgy Pm's from other members who were in the game though
You should argue your case then.
You knew all the names, you knew who Niall was, when others doubted which one of of the 6-person line up that you were. In fact people only found out when I told them lol so blame me for that. You've got to the final without being team leader once, haven't got blood on your hands!
Locke.
31-10-2012, 10:34 PM
Only had Lee PM me and she was on my suspect list at the start so I gave her very little of the information she wanted

I think that will earn you a fair few votes to be honest. You did well to make the final without being in an alliance, something which rarely happens to an active player in a game.

Plus it sounds as if you and LJ were on the cusp of a big move. But neither made a big move. So don't worry

I dint want info.. I had all the info I needed! I pmd you once to apologise for sending you to isolation and once to ask if you were serious about suspecting mollie; I didn't know if you were just winding her up or not :hmph:

They were magical. If only the four of us could have sat down and worked out our differences, then we could have got Doogle drunk and forced him onto Kizzy in a nightclub.

k i've had votes from everyone except Kate, Samuel and Smithy, but if they wish to do so before 8pm tonight that's cool.
I've also had judging from Jarrod and Braden (but they always judge me so w/e), and am still waiting for Matt and Greg... so everything's still to play for. *facebooks greg just to remind him*
final's at 9 :D good luck again to all and to all a good night

As much as I love Samuel, manbungo and my socks had more input and influence into this game over him. Which I'm surprised about, usually he is a big player and at the start I had him and Roy as the biggest threats to me and Marc.

My vote for the winner of ICB4 is.....to be revealed when I've done a quick summation ;)
Summation -
Mollie....I did not choose you, although you played a great game and did brilliantly well to survive isolation three times!! This pains me, as you are a good friend and it would be lovely to see you win :( You may well do so anyway. I suspected you as the second killer when Marc was killed over Doogle :suspect: We shall soon know the truth.....
Doogle....I did not choose you, although I thought very hard about it, as you also played a great game, I never realised how much you were scheming behind the scenes, you kept a low profile and did really well to make the final so all credit to you for that.....
LemonJam....I did not choose you, however I see you played a very tactical game indeed, keeping your cards close to your chest throughout, and I think you are master gameplayer. I expected you to make the final all along. A very worthy opponent......
Back in a minute :D
If Kate votes Novo then hell will freeze over

If Kate votes Novo then hell will freeze over
My decision continued.... ;)
I chose this person because I really felt they put everything into the game, took it very seriously (which probably nobody expected) and survived all the way to the final without alliances - which is no mean feat, I had loads of them on the go  One stand out reason as well is the effort this person put into the writing task, which was well out of their comfort zone, and a credible contribution. I also feel that winning would mean a lot to them, although they may not show it. Therefore......
The person I chose worthy of the award for ICB4 is.....
Novo!
Lee :) You played a very laidback game and went under the radar a lot, excellent tactics, I was impressed at how much you actually knew by the end, certainly more than I had managed to suss out. Great job.

My vote came down to two players.
Doogle, sorry but you never stood a chance to get my vote. You had so many chances to make a move, take charge and be brutal but I felt you hid behind Marc too often and you say that you were waiting to be team leader in the last task, but you've played the game before, there is never a team leader in the final task, a massive error on your part and the only reason you survived isolation was because you were against Marc, who was one of the biggest players an threats in the game. I still like you, but you had so much potential and never did anything with it which is such a shame considering you have played this game before.
Lee, you had my alliance most of the way through, until you tried to convince me that faye was the killer but couldn't tell me who Faye was. I knew exactly who Faye was and I knew from that moment that you were hiding behind Marc and didn't do anything to take out the big players like me and Marc. However you did manage to piece together a lot of the clues, but I (although I love you) was not enough to earn my vote. Also you were so close to being out against Doogle for isolation because of the faye thing, it was only a last minute change of gameplan on my part that stopped me from sending you there.
Oh, and forgot to say, you did manage to work out the XX clue and that is a BIG reason people shouldn't overlook you for the win. Nobody else got that clue.
Mollie. You survived 3 isolations. Hhhhm. That wasn't your doing, that was the killers. However you did try very hard in the tasks and helped take out a few game players, so for that I commend you. You also played nicely on the fact that people thought you may be the killer which lured people to try and get you on side with alliances and votes.
Oh, I know what else I wanted to say. You played me by making me try and help you to survive, when you were already in talks with others about it, sneaky, and I didn't even expect it.
So it came down to LJ and Novo.
LJ, you played a great game. At one point we both thought marc was playing us and could be the killer, the next you were voting regardless of what the majority wanted because your gut feeling said otherwise, which turned out to be a good thing. You got the clue with the maple leaf and pretty much managed to get all the information you needed by playing it calm and collect. Your effort in most of the tasks was flawless and I know you didn't get to play a big move because you had no choice when you had to be team leader but I don't doubt you would have tried to remove me or Marc because we spoke about that situation near the very beginning.
Novo. Honestly, I didn't expect you to make it this far. I wrote you off to be killed early on. I was wrong, and pleasantly so. You had few alliances, you did the game your way and voted without knowing or caring what the majority of the group was doing, you followed your own path. You put effort into so many tasks but I think i was most impressed with you when I was team leader. I know you felt uncomfortable with your writing and really didn't want to do it or post it, but it was an amazing effort and I think most will agree showed exactly what real potential you held in the game.
In the end my vote went to LJ, it was so very close between him and Novo.
Kate!

Tibb Towers is such a hotbed of repressed passions and backstabbing. Needs its own reality tv show tbh.
"The Towers"
Episode 1: Nathan is pretending not to care that Josy met an Italian Stallion at the gym, and has been inspecting his muscles rather a lot, but really he is combusting inside with repressed desires.
Meanwhile Marc has bought a new handbag, but whilst typing up a report for James, Vicky spotted it under a desk slashed to ribbons. She later noticed Benji take a pair of scissors from his pocket and replace them in the store cupboard.
And isn't it coincidental that Damien is the tenth silhouette in the line up.. and 'X' was the clue.
THAT CLUE HAD SO MANY MEANINGS

Ben what big moves could I have made exactly? I never really had the opportunity to go for team leader through most of it, and the last time I played was a year ago lol was I seriously supposed to remember the final task has no team leader? That wasn't an excuse, I just didn't want to risk isolation before especially when people thought I was the killer. And it was hardly hiding behind Marc, we worked together, he may have used me to an extent but if I'd have tried to get rid of him I wouldn't have had a chance. I played it safe enough but that's not always a bad thing. Making massive and bold moves can be stupid if you just randomly do them with no thought as to what happens after.

Two days after the body of Faye was discovered by a rather mortified librarian, things had taken even more chilling twists and turns for the remaining six detectives. Increasingly suspicious of each other and eager to increase surveillance in some form, they'd adopted some level of in-rivalry and paranoia. The whole thing troubled Saul and Iris, who'd rather approached the entire investigation with open minds.
For a second day now, Omar had failed to attend meetings and help with the investigation. No one had heard from him via text, and the other five grew a little worried. Adrian, on the way with the other four to Omar's apartment in the city, joked that maybe he'd been pissed off by his team's loss at the football game, but this joke fell a little flat given the knowing dread that they'd all come to accept by now. Once there, Saul rang the buzzer and, rather predictably, got no reply.
After three more buzzes, a disgruntled old woman stormed out of the front door and swatted away Saul's fingers before he could ring it again.
"What do you want you silly man?" Niamh barked.
"Excuse us, ma'am, we're investigating the deaths of three police officers," Harriet showed her police I.D. whilst the others flashed theirs briefly, "and we believe that one of our colleagues - a Mr. Omar Fawzi - lives in this building?"
"Oh, yes, he does," Niamh stuttered, a little calmer and graver now. "Come in. I'm his landlady - Niamh Willyumson. I've been meaning to speak to him actually, he's messed up the recycling again y'see," she ranted off at Iris, whilst the rest barely contained their disinterest. Niamh showed them his apartment - number 4 - and after Saul knocked three times she consented for them to barge the door down. On the count of three, Adrian and Saul agreed to run into it with their shoulders - but before the door could hit the floor, Niamh let out a scream.

A toppled stool under the hanging body of Omar initially told the detectives that this was a suicide - but their experience with mismatched evidence taught them not to go with first impressions.
"Maybe it was guilt," Harriet suggested.
"No way - this has got to be a murder, made to look like suicide." Adrian interrupted, as an intense debate broke out between them.
"Every other killin' has been brutal as hell," Destiny interjected, "so why let him hang?"
"Don't you think you people should investigate the apartment?" Niamh snapped again, as she was consoled by Iris and visibly shaken. Her words rang true with the other detectives, whose feuding and friendships, and mutual benefit systems had clouded their judgment. Iris could see this, but she could also see a stiff, blue body in front of her. Looking deathly pale, she asked to be excused and went outside for fresh air. Once outside, she paced the streets and tried to gain control of the situation.
Meanwhile, inside the other four were observing that Omar had been hung from a light fitting in the hallway. The stool certainly looked sturdy enough to support his weight until he kicked it from under him, but of course they didn't write it off as a red herring.
"Check the front room, see if there's a note," Saul instructed Adrian, before telling Destiny to look around for windows to see if anyone had forced entry. Harriet and Saul continued to take notes on the condition of Omar's corpse, after calling for a coroner and forensics. They observed that he'd been hung there for more than 24 hours - this much was obvious by the purple discolouring of the skin around his neck - but also observed no bruises, no cuts or scars from any sign of a struggle with any assailant.
"Come here!" Adrian beckoned, reading aloud from a notepad found on the kitchen worktops. "Optanda mors est, sine metu mortis mori," he read, coming to an abrupt halt.
"So... anyone know latin?" Harriet asked.

Weeks passed and Damien was found guilty without mercy. Sentenced to life imprisonment, he took up resident in the city jail shortly after - and he was surprised to find a letter the very first morning he awoke in his cell.
"I just want you to know who I am".
It was quite clearly suicide

Iris never came back from her need for fresh air. She'd come close to being caught so many times before now - she even walked in on Faye looking at a photograph with her in it and Damien himself. Fond memories, she thought. Their romance in high school had always had macabre undertones - and their reunion just three weeks ago came as a massive surprise to Iris, who'd just graduated from college and completed police training. She'd no idea he'd undertaken the same path.
The murder of a teenage goth sparked a fire in her belly. She knew it was him, because they'd done it together many years ago. She refused to go for Damien whenever the chance came to point fingers, and he'd repaid that favour in never blaming her. They kept their history quiet and only communicated beyond pleasantries at home - concocting plans and crimes together, and deciding to tease the other, inept detectives with trivial clues.
The night Damien was arrested drove her insane. She couldn't believe he'd been so careless and given himself away so blatantly - he stuck out like a sore thumb. She took on the duty with glee, and when she'd convinced that stupid Fowley guy to let her have access to the power room, she set timers to blow fuses the next night. She was kinda glad that Destiny had allowed her and Georgia to go downstairs at the time of the blackout, because she could play the little-girl-lost routine whilst upstairs burned. She even left "rainbow-coloured" signs around - a subtle clue, she admitted, but as Iris was the greek goddess of rainbows, she figured someone might have a look into her name. After filing their report, she'd taken the back-stairs up to level five and found Fowley instead of her intended victim, so she shot him instead. She was a little sad to hear Georgia had also died, since she wasn't her first choice of target, but it left her one less body to dispose of.
A couple of days later she caught wind of Faye's intention to do some research. She knew Faye was a meticulous team member, and knew she couldn't risk anything, so she followed her. Finding Faye staring at a photograph of her in the same room as Damien caused her to panic: she sliced her quickly, before leaving some shoddy decoy clue at the graveyard. It was a long shot, but she figured someone might think the "Independent Woman Pt. 1" wordplay might point some blame at Destiny. She walked away from the library singing "sticks in your throat", a lyric stuck in her head after finding a song named after her by Emmy the Great. Cute. She'd even hired out the Voice to introduce the news to the detectives with a picture of a praying mantis - or, rather, to give it its latin name, an iris oratoria.
But this - the suicide of Omar - completely unravelled her plans. She was meant to get through all of them. She'd never seen a corpse that she wasn't responsible for before. She later heard from Destiny via text that he'd lefta latin phrase in his note that roughly translated as "to die without fear of death is something to be desired". He'd basically quit on his own terms. This didn't sit well with Iris. She needed to be in control - and yet, she'd been so foolish at the crime scene asking to be excused. Turning faint at the sight of a hanging but being perfectly fine with the reports of decapitation, drowning and slashing? Please.
She sent on her note to Damien, a man who'd never truly acknowledged her potential but rather saw her as a sidekick, and made her plans.
Adrian, Saul, Destiny and Harriet kept up their investigation and, having received word from a prison officer that Damien had received suspicious mail, they were able to piece together the sudden disappearance of Iris and the song lyric in his letter.
"I told you so!" Destiny gasped, pushing Adrian in the shoulder.
"For god's sake no you didn't," Harriet responded, and they carried on bickering.
The deaths stopped, and life carried on for these four. Iris hoped that, since she couldn't get rid of them herself, she'd leave them with the lesson that death is indeed something to be feared. She hoped this experience would haunt them for the rest of their days. Iris herself, however, agreed with Omar.
THE END
When everything's meant to be broken...

Lee., thank you so much for playing again and finally making a final :D
One judge claimed that 'it was a tough call between her and Novo for the 4 points but I think she's been consistently good throughout the game.' I'd reiterate this - you were always the underdog of the game, and managed to earn vital immunities (3 in a row, I believe, is the most anyone's ever achieved in a game). Unfortunately there was less evidence to go on for deserving to win over the other 3, but thank you again for being a part of the game.

Novo
Novo, you were one of the two frontrunners for the title before the judges found out that Mollie was the killer, and her ability to slip under the radar largely tipped the judges' scores in her favour.
One judge revealed 'Originally it was Novo on top for me, but when you told me Mollie was the killer well i needed to put her there.' Another said: 'I think he also played the game well.'
Novo, thank you for playing

After storming the contestants' vote and performing well in the public vote, it was unlikely you'd be caught, and with two of the five judges giving you full points you've fairly comfortably won In Cold Blood IV :amazed: As others said you played a clever game, contributed regularly and well to all tasks and were pretty much the only thing that kept me from killing myself over the Tic Tac Tot task. Congratulations
Mollie.
You topped the scoring of 3 of the five judges and that was largely for your cunning, sneaky, unnoticed performance as our second Killer :D Only one of your fellow detectives guessed it might be you, and even they were torn between you and Novo. You played a brilliant game but unfortunately were just outdone by all of the tactics and a slightly better finalist :p Thank you again for playing.
