I think this series was always planned to be more of a fun romp. It's not as serious as the previous two seasons. It has lacked a lot - but I've enjoyed it too. Hopefully season 4 will go back to how seasons one and two were.

Me too, the thing about this series I don't like is that I have never looked forward to finding out who the next Supreme is because I love Fiona and I'm indifferent to all the young witches. <3

Misty beating up Madison and nobody caring enough to help her:love: She was the good kind of bitchy before she died, but now she's awful. Delphine outlasting Marie even just a few minutes is so wrong. I actually felt bad for Fiona when I found out that Cordelia caused her death, but the scene that explained her death and how condescending she was to the Axeman helped it make more sense. And it was a good way to end her storyline.

Next week's episode better be a good one and finish it all up nicely, because they're going to have to cram a lot in.

I'm just really baffled why becoming the new supreme is the lead story going in to the final episode. Of all the mini-themes, this is the one I gave a s**t about the least.

The witchcraft/voodoo rivalry didn't really happen, barring a few insults, then the witch hunters came and went in an episode or two. Just seems really messy. I started off loving this series, but I'm not really sure what my overall thoughts will be once it's finished, and I'm thinking back on it.

That abortion of a Stevie Knicks cameo was shocking, and this series seems like a collection of Anne Franks, rather than a bloody face.

Meh, I didn't really care for this episode. I thought they did away with Fiona, LaLaurie and Marie far too easily. How did the Axeman get the jump on Fiona and why didn't she bother to use her powers? If that was intended to be her exit then it was a very weak one.

I don't think she is dead though, I think she'll come back in the last episode and kill Cordelia so that she can carry on being the Supreme.

pretty disappointed in this season actually. its not very good. and hasn't picked up. they seem to be going for comedy and sillyness. , i swear its made up on the spot or a rush write jobby

Well...

Stevie *****ing Knicks. What the *****? I had no desire to see a hastily made music video with her in it.

Really disappointing and predictable ending to a show that kicked off the season really well but then just failed to live up to it's potential. Too many story arcs, and not enough concentration on the main plot.

Even the ending was really unsatisfying. A load of witches with super powers start advertising, and the government is OK with that? If going public was the end goal, maybe they could have done without some of that religious neighbour nonsense, and shown some kind of battle between those with magic, and the army.

Although I did think Fiona being trapped in her own version of hell was a decent way to end her story.

They made Madison too much of an arse for her to ever really really be a potential supreme. I think the fact they have many of the same cast members as their leads often means that we sort of know who will be left standing at the end.

I have enjoyed this season (despite my moaning), but it could have been so much better.

I think the whole telling the world about witches thing was more of a metaphor for that you do not have to be afraid of who you are.

I quite liked the last episode. Quite interesting that Sarah (Cordelia) is the only actress that has had characters who have lived at the end of every series! Overall the series has been a bit of a mess. But I've enjoyed it and the ending was fitting. The endings of all of the characters were finished off well.

If Fiona returned and killed everyone I still think people would have moaned!

The final scene between Cordelia and Fiona was quite emotional. I'm so happy Cordelia became supreme since she suffered the most out of everybody in the coven imo, it was nice to see her character come out on top.

The season wasn't as good as I thought it would be though. I don't even want to get started on Delphine's involvement and how crap her and Marie's ending was.

I thought it was a pretty good last episode bar one thing that really bugged me. I didn't buy how Madison died at all. She was meant to be this ferocious witch that could control people with her mind and flip buses with the flick of her wrist yet Kyle killed her so easily? It wasn't a very satisfying end to her story. Also I was disappointed that Zoe didn't stay dead since she's a useless character and offing Misty so early in the episode but forcing more Zoe/Kyle scenes upon us was a crime tbh.

Overall it was a strong finish to a very uneven series.

Nan went to Heaven I think, or at least a very nice version of Hell. Papa Legba said something among the lines of 'you're not going to suffer anymore child' or something like that when he took her.

I didn't really like the finale. Misty's eternal hell crushed my soul, especially as a vegan </3 and uh why didn't Madison just murder Kyle in like a second? And why did Myrtle die? Ugh. What they should have done if they wanted another witch-burning so badly is write it that Madison kills Kyle, has her tantrum, and is burned at the stake for treason.

I'm happy with Cordelia being the supreme, but it's been obvious for a long time now. As awful a person as Fiona is, I was really rooting for her to take that knife and kill Cordelia and have all the powers flow back into her :love: and then she has the problem of the hundred other girls that are now showing up at her doorstep, great ending

i think it was the fact she had powers but didn't know how to use them, since being at the coven she's learned how to control them

It's because she was with Kyle and she couldn't kill him with that power since he was already partly dead. When it comes to Zoe it's best not to think about it too hard since her character was badly written and planned out from the get go. The writers just wanted another Tate/Violet style relationship but they forgot that the relationship worked because the characters were interesting and compelling (well, Tate was anyway).

I understand the whole her not being able to kill Kyle thing. It's more of the fact there seems to be no reasoning for her having that particular power. Over the season with the other powers we see a pattern forming that said powers have been around since witches existed.

The whole 'killer vagina' seemed a bit like it was shoved in for the sake of killing off two unimportant one-off characters in the first episode. I just find it strange when other powers become very important (and we see how they are used in different ways) this one stands out on its own and gets ignored pretty much straight away.

Saying that, I'm picking one of many pointless things that happened in Coven. :P I really hope for season four Murphy strips down the amount of things going on and writes a more consistent series. I have really enjoyed Coven - although it did seem like it had 20 things going on at once when it only needed 5 or 6.

Although, i'm glad it was Cordelia. Think she deserved it.
Wish Misty had stayed instead of queenie.

And although I love Delia, I think that if Fiona had stabbed her, it would have been more dramatic and a better finale.

There was lots of comedy and sillyness in it. it really ruined it. shows dont normally start going silly until many years later.
seven wonders is one of my favourite songs it was nice to see it but the whole stevie nicks thing was another thing that was silly.
there wasn't any horror in this season.
yet those first 8 episodes of asylum were just perfect, i got a feeling its peaked too soon.

I was talking with some people at school about the finale and they both said that this has been their favorite season:/ It was visually amazing and funny, so I get why people liked Coven, but when you have Asylum and Murder house to compare... Maybe if they were three different shows that weren't linked by the name American Horror Story, but they are, so I just expect horror.

Anyway about the finale. It seemed stupid that they went out of order with the wonders, since if Misty wasn't able to do divination, she wouldn't have had to try going to hell. Madison's death... I'll just go with maybe their powers are harder to use when they're getting choked, or hit with an axe. I had to watch it back though to catch that bringing Zoe back was the last wonder and having completed that, Cordelia's eyes healed, because she had just done all 7. I didn't get that all the first time and just thought it was an 'ooh look at what happened, witchcraft' scenes. Myrtle sacrificing herself was good too, just because it was a bold way to go out and that goes with her character. I liked that Fiona came back and had a better death (though the director probably should have had Cordelia place the knife a little further away from her, because the whole time they were hugging I was scared she'd stab her and that just took me out of what the scene should have been). Glad she didn't stab her though. It wouldn't really provide closure to the season, like they'd have to come back with a AHS: Coven- Season 2. I liked her death the first time, but this was definitely better.

The finale was better than the season as a whole, but I liked it. It was fun.

I'm on track and that is the plan. I don't know how many clues were in it; there was one clue a few episodes back. I know what Ryan is thinking but until he announces it, I feel like anything can change. Last year, he announced [the theme] at PaleyFest, so he might do that again. The thing about Ryan is he's nothing if not surprising. The minute you think you know what he's going to do, he changes it. I know what he has in mind but I don't know the whole scope. I know what he has in mind for me, and I hope it happens because it would be one of the more exciting things that I've gotten to do.

How does who you'll play in season four compare to Cordelia and Lana?

I know it will not disappoint and it will be, for my money, one of the more exciting themes.

This was my first series, I loved it. Im halfway through asylum, and have murder house downloaded but haven't started it yet.

Jessica Lange is amazing, she steals every scene she's in. I don't think it would be what it is without Jessica Lange. She reminds me a lot of Madonna, a gay man in a woman's body. I love everything about her.

I can't wait to see what Ryan has cooked up for season 4, I suspect Jessica will be center stage even more than normal since it's her last season. I wonder if Gabourey(precious) is signed up for season 4? Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett are coming back, right?

I read that the jumbled storyline was most likely due to the possible Coven spin off. They just didn't want anything to be to permanent just in case they needed somebody for the new show. Next season I just want a more cohesive plot, there have always been random scenes and arcs, but maybe just a few less for s4.

It makes sense that Coven was a mess due to the originally planned spin-off. They dropped the spin-off half way through making Coven didn't they? Would fit in with characters being all over the place and lots of plot holes.

A spin-off was an awful idea anyway. Goes against what AHS is all about. Hopefully season 4 will be more coherent.

According to reports, Murphy is negotiating a deal with Sam Shepard, playwright/actor and Jessica's ex-lover, for the fourth season.

Citing a source, Showbizspy reports that Jessica is not "thrilled" about his latest development. "When she and Sam parted ways she thought she'd never have to deal with him again, but Ryan loves to stir the pot," said the source. "He thinks it will make must-watch TV to have the pair sparring on camera."

The report suggests that Jessica is unlikely to quit, as she is committed to doing Season 4 of "American Horror Story."

On Feb. 7 Wetpaint shares that Sarah Paulson is working on a special skill before filming season four of "American Horror Story." What those special skills are, she can't say, however, many are hoping she's boning up on her contortion skills or acrobatics so that the fourth season will somehow involve a carnival.

Carnival seems to be the fan favorite for season four of "AHS" and it seems entirely likely it's true seeing as how recent spoilers from Ryan Murphy himself have alluded to the fact that the season will be in line with the same kind of lighter topic as "Coven" had. While he claims that it's a period piece set in 1950, that still doesn't discount the circus or carnival even though they were present in America dating back as early as 1890.

The "American Horror Story" costume designer let it slip that it seems as though, based on the costume designs themselves that the season will take place in New Orleans once again. Jessica Lange, who claims season four will be her last, is getting to play a Marlene Dietrich type character and is practicing her German accent. Many German immigrants ended up working in the carnivals as barkers, or performers just to escape the oppressed feeling brought on by the second red scare. It's likely that Lange could play such a character this season.
