purple group - things you do to a disc.
There we go, that's the disc group :D
That was one of my better walls I reckon :L
So, the scores for that wall are:
*Kate* - 2
GiRTh - 3
Ammi - 5
Which means, as we enter the final round, here is how the scores are looking:
Ammi: 18
GiRTh: 12
Shaun: 8
Livia: 7
Marc: 5
*Kate*: 2
Everyone else: 0
So, it's time for Missing Vowels. In this round I remove the vowels from various names, phrases or sayings, and you just have to work out what the clues are. A point for a correct answer, but a point lost if you are wrong even by a single letter.
The first group of four are all....two names for the same place

*MUSICAL FANFARE*
And with that we have reached the end of the quiz, and, looking at the final scores:
Sharing our bronze medal position today is Livia and Shaun each with a score of 9 points. As always Shaun and Livia continue to prove themselves powerful players, very well done indeed. I'm sure Livia will get a victory soon enough :D
Our silver medalist is GiRTh, another titan of this lateral thinking realm, GiRTh has finished on an impressive 13 points. I hope you shall be back to play again.
But the winner of game 3 of Only Connect is Ammi with a mammoth 25 points, one of the highest scores in this game. Many congratulations Ammi, I do hope you will return to try and keep hold of the crown, well done :)
Ammi: 25
GiRTh: 13
Shaun: 9
Livia: 9
Marc: 5
*Kate*: 2
Zee: 4
Everyone else: 0
So, what have we all learned today? I have learned that Missing Vowels should probably have a set time, not to write sequences about programming languages, and that Livia and myself have a complicated points-based relationship.
But, ladies and gentleman, the questions you have just seen were the dregs. Yes, there is a large bounty of better questions just waiting to be unearthed, and unearthed they will be very soon indeed.
Thank you for playing Only Connect, goodbye :D

Hello and welcome to Only Connect, the most popular BBC Four inspired quiz thread this forum has ever seen.
What's that? Didn't expect me back so soon? I have a trove of questions ready to tickle your cortex's completely free of charge. And if that didn't make you feel strangely aroused, then it's on to round 1: Connections. Simply tell me what connects the four clues you will see to get the points. The questions in this game are the creme de la creme of my personal collection, in an attempt to make up for some of the misdeeds which occurred in the last game.
I'll be toying around with some rule changes this game: In this round I will only accept posts which include a single guess, if you guess multiple times in a row or in the same post I will ignore it.
We'll get straight to it, here's your first question and your first clue:

Don't be too disheartened Livia, as I couldn't've taken cartoon shopkeepers as of course Dev Alahan is not a cartoon and Mr. Selfridge is infact a real person. Jeff Alberston more commonly known as Comic Book Guy, owner of the Android's Dungeon, and Recette Lemongrass, which I expect most of you don't actually know of is a character who owns Recettear in the game of the same name.
So, that's three points to Shaun, and we continue with our third connection, simply tell me what links them, here's the first:

http://i.imgur.com/WFeid0W.png
David Cooke is the director of the BBFC, and his signature appears before the start of every film in a UK cinema. The Torch Lady is the famous mascot of Columbia pictures, and likewise for Leo the Lion and MGM. Let's All Go To The Lobby is a jingle that was played at cinemas before a film. Livia scores five points for the beyond brilliant answer.

I feel like I have to give you the points, because you've stumbled upon the right answer. Actually, the hexagon could've been purple or orange too, because you all missed the reasoning for the colours.
You see, the triangle has three sides, and "RED" has three letters. The square has four sides, and "BLUE" has four letters. And so on and so on.
http://i.imgur.com/4Qsw19t.png
So two points to Shaun :P
This one is a classic really, what comes fourth? Here's the first:

This is one of those classic pseudomathematical sequences where each number is describing what the last number was, so 21 is one two one one (1211). One of the very few sequences I didn't actually come up with, a truly traditional sequence. Very well done for three points, Livia.
This next sequence may be my favourite sequence ever, I'll be VERY impressed if anyone gets this legitimately. Good luck everyone:

I can't wait any longer, I figure if people can't see it now they'll never see it. This could be my favourite sequence of all time for various reasons. I'll start by letting you know the fourth in the sequence is "His home parish".
His first name is Ingvar, his last name is Kamprad. The farm he grew up on is Elmtaryd, and his home parish (or village) was Agunnaryd.
Do you want to kill me yet?

Sadly no points there, although I feel I earned some. I don't think it was too difficult, although maybe I'm being rough on you all because I secretly think you enjoy the pain a little. Aaaand before we delve too far down that rabbit-hole, I'll let you know the next sequence will be some more pictures, and you'll get it in the morning :)

Yes, the second clue should've really been the other way around, but let's go ahead and say I wasn't sticking to convential seven-segment displays, plus it looked better that way :L
If you extinguish all the illuminated segments and vice versa, you get 0,1,2 and 3. Very well done for 2 points, GiRTh.
Here is the final sequence of the game, what comes fourth? And for the more tasteful amongst us, here is your first, highbrow, clue:
