Oh no I've been misunderstood, all I meant was if someone wants to say something as their answer, they should state it individually so I can clearly tell you want to give it as an answer. I don't expect you to know these things at all! :P

Took me bloody hours to fix this PC, RAM sticks had come loose.

Truthfully, this is the right answer

Sports that came about because of works of fiction. Muggle Quidditch has to have a minimum of 2 of each gender. Don't ask me how I know this...

I was just attempting to make Livia say "Quidditch Rules" :P

http://i.imgur.com/5GB4dih.png

These are all official rules to Quidditch, or, as Livia more specifically says, Muggle Quidditch. The Hoops rule and Snitch rule are the same as the fictional version I believe (which doesn't have an official ruleset) but in the muggle version, the balls may be kicked and picked up, and it is a requirement that each team have two players of differing genders. Livia is making a bit of a mockery of my questions, in all honesty, bagging another 5 pointer.

This may be the highest scoring Round 1.

We'll see if that streak continues though with the MUSIC QUESTION! Yes, been a while since I've done one of these, mainly as formatting them is a bugger.

Well, what connects these four pieces of music? Here's the first:

There you go!

http://i.imgur.com/0mYf7zr.png

The last clue would've been "Happy" by Pharell Williams, but that's correctamundo for 2 points. All contain the name of a dwarf, specifically from Walt Disney's version of "Snow White" (they have different names in basically every other telling of the story).

You heard the theme from Doc Martin, Sleepy Lagoon from the original Desert Island Discs and Dopey Joe by The Velvet Underground. Very well done for two points.

That means, as we enter round 2:

Livia: 15 points
Ammi: 4 points

But it's still anyone's game (maybe) as we enter Sequences! You'll get up to three clues, I want to know what comes fourth. I'm starting this round with a showstopper (Not literally, I hope), what comes fourth? (I love this question) Time starts now:

(The fourth clue wouldn't necessarily need to be that)

Shaun
31-03-2014, 06:51 PM
is it the relationship between the letters in the first word and the second? The first word has 1 letters in common (__A__), second has 2 (_I_E_), third has 3 (_OVE_), fourth has 4 (_LUES).

is it the relationship between the letters in the first word and the second? The first word has 1 letters in common (__A__), second has 2 (_I_E_), third has 3 (_OVE_), fourth has 4 (_LUES).

http://i.imgur.com/VFaSU0s.png

That's exactly it! It's known as the "Hamming Distance" between the two words, how many letters you would have to change in the first word in order to get to the second word. So the hamming distance of the first clue is 4, then 3, then 2, and the hamming distance between Blues and Clues is 1. So that's a point to Shaun, well done indeed.

Onto our next sequence, I will only accept a correct answer given with a reason, as there is quite a limited field of guesses :P What comes fourth?

I was going to have a go at that but could only find it spelt Fe Fy Fo Fum... Bugger! Well done Ammi!

There's a specific city that works in this connection and only that city

Tregard
22-04-2014, 05:51 PM
I feel these are a bit too tricky, this one I do love slightly though.

Newry is a city in Northern Ireland. Specifically, the 4th largest city. Northern Ireland is the 4th largest country in the UK.

Newport is the 3rd biggest city in Wales, which is the 3rd largest UK country.

Edinburgh is Scotland's 2nd largest city, so I was looking for the largest city in the largest country of the UK, which would be London.

I feel like this sequences round hasn't been going too well. Some of you higher point scorers must be feeling downtrodden, maybe you could use a cuddle.

This first clue isn't aimed at anyone specifically:

That's brilliant

http://i.imgur.com/Jj82Tzr.png

Yes indeed these are all anagrams of the four most recent U.S. Presidents, the most recent is Barack Obama, and I simply wanted some rearrangement of those letters, of which Bomb a Kaa car certainly is. It's a little less cosy than Go Hug Hebrews, but it will certainly get you the 5 points, Livia.

Ammi

and this is a Schofield:

So let's have a look at the scores, going into the final round:
