I hit the kerb during my driving test when i was reversing around the corner and I still passed lol the trick is not to give up once you make a mistake because one mistake doesn't fail the whole test (unless you're my brother and you change lanes without looking over your shoulder, that's an instant fail :laugh: )

..yeah I was the opposite and always went too wide, just to be on the safe side..but that's it..making a mistake with it won't be the worst thing, it's just keepin calm and carrying on and not getting flustered by it...

Yes, he's back at school.. He was off sick for a while before xmas.. We ended up back in hospital for the night but it turned out to be a viral thing. He had his nose tube removed before Xmas and was back in for a day last week to have his Hickman line removed :hugesmile: So he's now tube free and is allowed out at break and to do gym again! :love:

..aww, he'll be susceptible to viruses for a little while but he'll be ok...always best to keep him off to be sure if his temperature isn't what it should be..great to get the tube out though..:love:..although now he has to get used to not being such a big star at school and so cool..:laugh:...

Oh Kos was one on our list as well actually. Cost will definitely be a factor, I would like to do something half board or all inclusive though, I always end up cooking when we go away on holiday and I refuse this time, I don't want to have to worry about food at all this time :laugh:

You should try somewhere like Bali if you want out of Europe (it is so cheap over there).

I loved Lake Garda, our hotel was way up in the mountain and the views of the lake from our balcony were just breath taking. Also, swimming in the lake is so much better than swimming in the sea

The Grand Prix was October time so the only problem is that the weather was just starting to turn at that time, we still got a couple of days warm enough to swim though. The race is in Monza which is in Milan so that was handy for the airport. We made sure all our trips could be done there and back in a day so they were all relatively short, 3.5/4 hours maximum

..I can't say it's not windy because it really is and it is the only thing that I would say against it..also, I just remembered..because of the wind, the sun didn't really warm up until around 11/12am each day and then it started to cool again at around 5am...but we're not really sun worshippers..if you like long sunny days and warm evenings then I would say that it's probably not the place for you...

I have to say.. I think because this holiday is needed and deserved, we're being rather fussy. We've all said what we want and the only places that have the village type resorts we want is Greece/turkey.. I want a large resort style hotel.. Loads if pools/restaurant/bars within the place. :)

..I know my son and his partner went to a resort like that a few years ago..I think it was Rhodes but it may have been Kos/I can't remember..so the Greek Islands is probably the place to go and if Luke really wants to go to Kos, that seems perfect for you all..?...

Well the hotel we stayed at was on it's own, it did have a restaurant, pool, games area and bar but you'd need to drive to go anywhere else, it was up quite high up in the mountain so maybe if you'd rather not drive about in the evening somewhere lower down would be better. ...ahh, that looks gorgeous..what we usually do..(what my OH usually does..)..is to contact the hotel directly and it's so much cheaper and book the flights separately as well..probably saves quite a few hundred pounds 0n a package holiday and it's so simple to do...
