Like, as much as I hate Worlds Apart, there was actually some passion to it. Cambodia has had a lot of power shifts, but they've all been dei ex machina. Worlds Apart was certainly grimy, but personal. Cambodia's just dry and all about The Game and I don't give a **** about anyone.

Redmond from InsideSurvivor has just confirmed the S32 immunity idol twist, although the details aren't clear yet.

What is the new twist?
Survivor: Kaôh Rōng will start with three separate tribes. Each camp will have a hidden idol as per normal. These idols do not all look different like in Cambodia – in fact, they all look very similar. There is a reason they all look similar and that is because the twist next season is that idols can be combined. That’s right. If two players both have an idol each, they can combine their idols together to create a super idol!

What does this mean?
The details of what exactly the idols can do when combined is still sketchy. It is believed that on their own the idols can be used as normal – a castaway can play it before the votes are read at tribal council in order to nulify any votes cast against them. When two idols are combined though it increases the power.

So it’s time to speculate. What power do you think the combined idol has? Can it be played after the votes are read like the “Tyler Perry” idol? Can it be played after the votes are read and save TWO people? Or is it a completely different power the likes of which we have never seen?

- Aubry giving me younger Kass teas.

- Tai the gardener <3 hope he's not an early boot as it would seem.

Spoilers on Julia's placement and an altercation from Reddit

I can confirm from a close source that Julia makes the jury stage of the game, but not to the Final 3. I am unsure of her exact placement, but we can expect to see her get into a cat fight with Cydney, and instead of asking a question to the Final 3 she bitches them out instead. I will try to pry some more information from my source, and will keep you all updated.
*Edit: I should specify that I am unsure as to whether or not it is a F2/F3, sorry if the wording is confusing, at this time I can only confirm that Julia does not make FTC, but I am working on finding out additional details.
*Edit 2: I forgot to mention that my source has told me that CBS casting has contacted Julia about possibly appearing on the Amazing Race/another season of Survivor. I speculate that this means she must be an interesting enough character this season if they are considering giving her another appearance. I will continue to update as I learn more.

The premiere was average. Debbie, Tai and Alecia are my faves so far but I don't see either of those three lasting long. I like the beauty girls and Aubry too.

I liked Darnell too so I was disappointed at the result but it was either him or Alecia so it was going to suck either way (shame as they're the only good ones in the Brawn tribe).

The male cast apart from Tai seems dull but I only hate Jason and Caleb so far

For a premiere ep it was pretty solid introduction without being anything too fantastic, but likewise as above, it was this aspect which was what I probabaly appreciated the most. Obviously having the longer run time does allow for this to happen, so will be interesting to see how the editing progresses when they have just 42 minutes to work with. But, all in all, it was a promising start to get at least one confessional from, if not most, a great percentage of the cast.

It is interesting, despite the divisions of the tribes, that there is clearly a 'fish out of water' in each group, so will be curious to see if any of these survive to a reshuffle if they will continue to progress with the people from these original groups or gravitate away toward those that they may more naturally have in common? iiam.

Way too early to get invested in anyone at this point, even though Tai is the same name as our dog, lol. When I was watching this, anytime anyone said 'Tai' his ears pricked up, even from the computer, where I had this on. Was pretty funny. :laugh:

What happens is this they put together a cast that they like and then they try and come up with a theme that might work for the cast. Whenever you pick the cast first instead of the theme you will end up with a couple of people who dont quite fit on their tribes. It's fine though because at least so far it has caused some fights/ drama so the tv show has benefited from the weird choices.

I think the liking effect comes from the fact that Brawn tribe is generally quite... unlikable. And she sticks out like a sore thumb.

If it ties again then they go to rock draws to determine who goes (but the players involved in the tie are immune)

They are usually recorded months before the airing, except in this case, which was recorded before the last season meaning it´s almost a year old.

If there is a another tie, the two players that have got the votes are safe and the remaining ones draw rocks out of a bag and then they reveal them when Jeff gives permission. The one who has a rock of a designated color that is different from the other ones (ie: black or red as opposed to others having blue/green) gets eliminated.

Meaning it´s a random elimination.

How long does tribe vs. tribe vs. tribe last? How do the competitions work when that ends?
I know Survivor has a jury too but how does it compare to the BB one / how many are in it?
I've heard a lot about the immunity idol(s) but how many in a season and how exactly do they work? I know it basically saves them but then what happens after that if they were supposed to go.. next highest number of votes is out?

Also if it's recorded months / a year before how do they prevent spoilers / full results being known (or do they not prevent them at all and you can actually find spoilers easily? :joker:)

I'll have a go, don't take my word on everything, though...

a) They often get time to talk strategy after the immunity comp but sometimes they're called to tribal straight away without having time to strategise - I don't think they're allowed to discuss anything on the way to and from cmps
b) It depends, i.e. on how many tribes there are to begin with, whether there are any tribe dissolves/switches etc, but it tends to last for a few rounds before we get a switch and then the merge - in the last Brains vs. Brawn vs. Beauty, there were four rounds like this before the tribe switch
c) That also depends on the number of contestants per season, but it works fairly similarly to BB - mind you, there are often three finalists instead of two and the jurors attend tribal councils after they're voted out
d) I'm not sure exactly how many idols there are in a season, but I do know that they're being relied on a lot more heavily and some think they spoil the game. Say someone with 8 votes cast against them saved themselves with an idol, the other person with 4 votes would be eliminated and it'd be 4-0
e) I'm sure you can find spoilers if you look hard enough... or not that hard (for example, I know Cambodia's first boot kinda spoiled things when they were spotted back in the US whilst the show was still filming)
