Flick is easily the best, liked her for a while. Took Brooke out, has wanted to take El out the last 2 weeks. Kristie is the problem and those who have supported her seem to be finally admitting it. Matt did awake finally, but only after Flick did, before that he was happy to be on the bottom of the alliance he was in (or that El says he wasn't). El and Lee both come across as ridiculous in their desperate points.

Oh my god that finale <3 Rites of passage <3 Hand on a Hard Idol <3 The challenge in general <3 Krazy Kristie making a return <3 Lee's homo subtext making a return <3 Kristie's FTC performance <3 JENNAH ****ing LOUISE (and also Nick but eh) <3 The random family members streaming in just before the winner was announced spoiled the momentum a bit but hey, you can't have everything. Even though the post-merge dragged, this turned out to be a great season and I'm glad it ended on such a good note :love: Also I enjoyed that Sue had more airtime in that finale than El did, which I'm sure was the true Sue-nami

(was anyone else hoping that when JLP announced that some "special people" were coming in to watch the challenge, we'd see, like, Des and Barry skipping over the hill to the horror of the final three? Or that when Sam stepped up at FTC, he'd begin speaking with a plummy English accent? Yeah okay just me)

Well the end to that episode was pretty damn hilarious, made up for some of the weak points (though obviously not all).

Nice to see the 'Fallen Heroes' part and without the reunion part it was needed anyway, I just wish we'd had last words from all.

Then the families introduced, skipped over this near the beginning and when they were wheeled out again at the end.

Cheapo final challenge, the setting was good sure, but for the last two challenges the US one often puts more effort in, with a great set. Neither of the last two had great sets. The idea of having a hand on an idol was good I guess and it had drama obviously, with them all close together. Kristie did sound rather pathetic to be honest, would have preferred the begging to have ended quicker.

On the single vote, it was no surprise of course but it also seemed given away by the camera at the urn. I saw Kristie do a single straight line and then two horizontal. Bad editing truly, keep the reveal to the announcement.

Then Lee. Oh dear, what a disaster he was. First he says this was the first Australian Survivor, or maybe that's what the channel want people to think? But the tribal...well it looked like he was throwing it. Or did he think it was so easy he didn't even have to try? He said he had two points and he only made one, the usual thing about wanting to be honest/good. Then that hilariously got taken apart by Nick and someone else. The only answers he could give were that he was loyal to 'his alliance at the time' and then later that he failed in trying to be honest. He may as well have added that he failed at this tribal. Kristie was hilariously prepared for everything, except perhaps Matt at the end who said she was all over the place.

So a hilarious ending to a rather botched season. I'll take it, it's better than what seemed likely after the last few episodes.

One of the most surprising winners ever also. All in all good to see it getting more seasons.

Episode 28 [Finale]:

Well this great finale made up for the appalling post-merge that's for sure :clap1:

The challenge was brutal with a great narrative and after El dropped out I didn't mind who won, it was actually kinda nice for once to not have to be rooting for or even against someone? And to just enjoy it for what it was. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't more of a discussion about the challenge at the F3 tribal but it's a minor grievance in an otherwise great episode

I was even more delighted when she took Lee because A) even though neither were amazing, I never actively disliked them or rooted against them like I did some of the others, and B) about three weeks ago I accidentally stumbled across a 'spoiler' on the hashtag feed that Kristie and El were the runaway favourites with the bookies and since the finale was taped it was presumed they were the F2, and I'd been hoping it's wrong ever since :laugh:

The winner was obviously right in the end but the fact Lee made it did put some doubt in my mind which made it all the more enjoyable, that was until the final tribal of course! Kristie ****ing slayed so I'm glad she won :clap1:

Also I was screaming @ Nick's dragging of Lee :laugh3:

They definitely need a live finale/reunion next season but for what it was it was well produced. Good ending!

I'm not really sure that I'm totally into this season yet because it feels like there's a lack of actual characters. Kylie and Kate are the only two I really like and everybody else just kinda floats in the middle because they're all just inoffensive and interchangeable? (oh except Andrew and Lee. They suck)

I guess it's possibly because it started with 24 people and there's gonna be further development for people later in the game but it's just a bit hard to get into?

Very good premiere, it's actually a really likeable cast (with the obvious exception of A.K) and already it feels like the cast has a lot more personality than last year.

Joan is an unfortunate first boot, not as amazing as Des from last year but Joan definitely had messy potential. I prefer Kent tho and his budgie smugglers so I can't be too sad.

Highlights:

Ep 1 thoughts:

My fave out first, saw that coming from a mile away lmao (even typed this sentence before the vote had been revealed). Didn't see the tie coming tbf although presumed the outcome would remain the same and it did, RIP Joan </3 Can't have too many non-white people in the cast now can we? :laugh:

This season looks promising, I just wish Joan would have lasted longer </3

As usual the female cast seems pretty strong and the males are annoying early on but most are tolerable

Oh and the blue tribe by FAR has the better female characters (I cba learning tribe names yet) and the purple tribe has better male characters

Episode 2 highlights:

- LOCKY'S ASS.
- A.K. is honestly such a mess that I'm starting to come around to him.
- Mark H is a national TREASURE and I love him.
- I also love Tara having a strop when Adam asked her to help him find an immunity idol because she was busy setting up camp :love: she's like an old school US Survivor contestant and I'm here for it.
- I'm still in shock that Adam was in a safe position, liked by everybody, had an immunity idol clue and an obvious target in A.K. but he managed to tank his game SO HARD he went home :joker:
- Jarrad is still everything and I hope A.K's move doesn't ruin his game.
- There's DEFINITELY still too many people and it shows in the editing because the voting in both tribal councils haven't really made a lot of sense, especially the one tonight. There's some great characters here and I hope the fodder goes first.

The last episode was chaotic. The slower start that the previous season had allowed for a bit more balanced editing, and I felt I knew last seasons cast more by this point. However, the little that has been shown has me more optimistic about how this turns out. These ones are definitely here to play.

-Yes, there are still too many people, which is emphasised with two tribes as opposed to last season's three (who is Tessa? Who is Kate? For someone who got four votes, who is Anneliese? And you purple-edit an Olympian?!), but I'm hopeful that it'll balance out once AK's storyline simmers down
-Between Jean-Robert, Anna and Adam, why are poker players so utterly useless on Survivor?
-I'm glad to see that I'm not the only person to have drawn comparisons between Jacqui and Henry and Denise and Malcolm (Jacqui btw :love: Her opening confessional being about her tits :love:)
-Tarzan is love, Tarzan is life, and I can only assume that's he's being called that less in homage to the fictional character and more to the One World contestant he looks like
-I agree with LJ's conclusion re. Locky's ass

- The edit this episode was actually sooooo bad, when 2/3rds of the cast don't have a confessional it's a bit of a problem, especially when there's been a ridiculous amount of under the radar people in the past 4 episodes. I would recommend it so far, but I would also say get into it sooner rather than later cos the episodes are quite long and there's 50 something days a season, it sounds daunting (to me at least) but there hasn't been a boring episode yet

I'm only 15 minutes of the way through ep5 and I'm this close to turning it off. The edit is so infuriatingly one-sided that it's almost a joke. Why have they reduced twenty people to two storylines, out of which we only get input from four people? Why do we need seventy different confessionals from Jericho and Luke talking about cookies, or ditto from AK telling us how he's on the bottom and wants to make a #bigmove? This isn't the Ausvivor I've come to know and love and it makes me sad </3

So I decided to watch all the episodes because I loved the last season and I'm really enjoying it the same.

Episode 5 Gutted Mark went in ep 4 he was my favorite. I'm stanning Luke and Tessa now though. Super pleased AK pulled off that blindside and got rid of Amy who was gunna coast to the end by doing nothing and following Lockie. Tara is the villan of the season and I can see her somehow making it far as shes got a lot of airtime each episode as if she'd be the boot. I'm hoping Tessa makes it far, shes now got a decent alliance which is nice.

I don't care for the other side except Luke and the cookie guy, probs because of the airtime, but I like seeing Luke he makes me laugh so I'm not mad about him being the star of that tribe.

I'm expecting tribes to switch in some form soon, which is a shame as that group have finally got the power.

Has Ben even had a confesional or even any screentime whatsoever lol. The guy with long hair that isn't Henry.

This is when you get to know the cast members after the first 5/6 people have gone, as it leaves you with around 18 people which is the perfect amount for survivor imo.

I reckon at 18 the tribes will split into three 6's.

- The big characters are really falling fast! And I get the feeling this is why the editing is so skewed, because so many of the big characters go early and we can learn about the others later in the series? That's the theory I'm going with right now
- lmao @ Odettes 3rd INV episode in a row, Even when her tribe is going to tribal. Purple Kelly is shook.
- Also Ben being an alternate boot and STILL not getting a confessional lmao
- I really think that Henry is DESPERATE to be remembered in the same way as A.K., like throwing the challenge doesn't even make sense when Sam and Mark trusted them anyway? So yeah, he's my least favourite, even below A.K. :3
- Tara on the other hand is HILARIOUS and not even trying. Going from being smug as **** that she was on the right side of the numbers, betraying her alliance for a second time to get a taste of her own medicine and going on a rant against the person she tried to betray for being sneaky is honestly... hilarious.
- I'm kinda obsessed with the fact that Kent is such an obvious boot for the blue tribe but Sam was CONVINCED that Ben/Michelle were the weakest members. Werk that social game Kent <3
- I wasn't sure if Luke was a cam***** or not but now I'm convinced he's just that constantly happy so I'm rooting for him
- Half the time Mark looks really ****ing hot and half the time he looks like a cardboard box with a tiny face drawn on it.
- I would also **** Jericho. You guys didn't really need to know that but I'm telling you.

God I hate Henry so much, he's so annoying. Gutted to lose Sam this early

reiterating what others have said, Henry is so annoying and a terrible player. Playing way too hard and fast, there are 40 days remaining there is legit no purpose to throw a challenge and remove someone who is strong and entirely trusts you. There is literally like 8 more boots before Jury or something, and so It just makes no strategic sense. He needs to leave as I can't deal with his bad gameplay and irritating personality. I don't even care for Sam, but apart from Luke and Jericho she was the only person with a personality that I've seen from that tribe so it's a loss just because that tribe sucks so much

I'm rooting for Luke, Tessa, Peter, Jericho

Tara gets so much airtime each episode and each time I think she's going to be the boot and she's such an odd character to get screentime xD - Kinda here for it though as its refreshing for a normal person to get airtime that isn't a gamebot/constantly talking strategy

Luke proving why hes my favorite a legend trying to remove the human corpse from the game. Corpse and Henry are so annoying ugh wish Mark had stayed. Now Luke and Jericho are on the outs they're the only two I like from that tribe ;[. I reckon Luke will be out next episode.

Henry is dumb because they're now losing tribal immunities because of removing Sam and now Mark...

The other tribe is much better, Tara is making me lol with her delusion of not being a liar and how she was insulting Ziggy. Also in that challenge she sucked so bad alol

Luke is a God :love: I like Jericho and I did like AK too but he had to go once he swapped (would rather he hadn't) cause I can't have him threatening those two

I'm enjoying this again but I feel like it's going to be a repeat of last season where all of my favourites and any rootable characters leave before jury and we're left with irritating fodder. If that's the case I wish they'd stop editing the show like this cause it just means you have an amazing pre-merge and then the post-merge pay off is a complete disappointment

Silly Silly Ziggy showing what a no entity she is by wasting such an idol to save someone who isn't even in an alliance with her?
Ziggy to go next so we can all laugh at her shocking game play.
I kinda hope there is a shift is power soon otherwise its gonna be Pete, Ziggy, Tessa out next making it all predictable. And with Tessa getting such a early game highlight and airtime she must be around later in the game so something must happen.
Overall i happy though with the people we have left in the game here for Sarah or Henry to win at this point :)

Episode 18

- The editing was so glaringly obvious that Henry was going to go but it was SO satisfying.
- Peter being the alt boot and still having a **** edit <3
- Locky might become bareable again now that Henry's no longer with him. He was slowly falling into **** territory under his influence and I hope he can return to his true form, a younger version of Rupert <3
- Michelle getting picked for the champagne reward :love: She's probably my favourite now
- Tessa is so enjoyable as an underdog. Bobbing up and down trying to strategize with Peter <3 Being so nonchalant about targetting Locky <3
- I feel like this doesn't need to be said, but THE CHAMPGNE ALLIANCE <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3
- I was going to burst in here and post about how ***** Sarah was being about Tessa taking Michelle on the reward UNTIL I found out it was all a ploy to **** over Henry <3
- idgaf about Tara's kids just show her being abrasive and completely self-unaware it's what she's BORN to be.
- Jericho's "drink" being a margerita my suspicions are confirmed ladies <3

What a fantastic episode that was :love: After a pretty strong but frustratingly edited pre-merge, this season is really coming into its own and I can't wait to see what happens now that I like everyone left! (I still feel as if I'm dreaming and that I'll wake up tomorrow to discover that the #ChampagneAlliance was nothing but a margarita-drinking gay boy's fantasy, but for now, let me cherish the moment)

Episode 19
Another blind side, but Sarah, Luke and Jericho didn't think about numbers for the next vote, they blindsided Tessa and pushed out Michelle making her now rethink her next move meaning its gonna be 3 vs 6. I love that Locky and Tara both survived even though they were out of the loop that was fantastic.

Luke/Jericho/Michelle/Sarah would've been the best final four on a reality show for quite some time so I'm disappointed, they made the Tessa move a bit too early

My main concern now if this Locky thing doesn't materialise is that even after the far superior tribe (Asaga) managed to take control of the game back, we'll still end up with the Samatau snores at the end :umm2:

I hope they get annihilated :hee:

They're the only ones with a personality :conf: would rather this season didn't end like the last one
