Tbf, I don't mind the bin stuff. It's not as if it's a main plot line. It's just like a part of the backdrop with a realistic thread affecting everyone that gets mentioned by them all.

The show feels that little more real when the big stories are set against that kind of background stuff.

Though, yes, the show needs to get moving with some big stories already. I thought we'd have well and truly dived into Ronnie and Roxy's exit story if they're leaving so soon and yet they're nowhere to be seen.

We've got Masood, Linda, Babe, Ronnie, Roxy and Kyle all leaving, some of them will be under dramatic circumstances.

There's Max's return (and Cora's), too.

We can't just throw in a huge story when there's no drama there. It's a natural setting. Kim's driving, the bins, the market, Belinda's money troubles, Bex being in love for the first time and trying to avoid what her mum and dad did, Jack and Ricky being in the Scouts, Dot losing her job and Jane's disability among others are stories present just now.

How can we just throw in a huge dramatic stunt when it isn't required or necessary?

Christmas and New Year are so close and the drama will return. But the drama becomes tiring. I was drained for a lot of Dominic's run. It's nice to have a show that's easy to watch, with (mostly) likeable characters and watching them grow without death or cancer or domestic violence or whatever else you want to see.

Kim learning to drive has been hilarious and probably my fave storyline atm, and I hope we see more. I find that Kim is definitely one of the strongest characters on the show, one of the best imo.
