I wish Glenda could stay longer. I loath Jack but knowing Glenda was likely in the scene made up for his awfulness slightly.

Ashley.

To be honest Shakil doesn't bother me anymore now that he has direction and a bit of characterisation.

10-02-2017, 08:52 PM
Shakil needs axing before Jack does
He's not as bad as Keegan or Louise and the Mean Girls club.
Ashley.
10-02-2017, 08:54 PM
Keegan's awful because he has absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Even the worst of villains we've had on the show, like Janine and Michael, have had some good in them.
Marsh.
10-02-2017, 09:24 PM
Really? All of that and Glenda just leaves over an ear piercing? As if.

10-02-2017, 09:41 PM

Yeah SOC never sets up major plots but opts to focus entire episodes on the mundane.
Denise has countless threads on the go and we get episodes devoted to her library books and noisy neighbours.
Half of Phil's family died in the last 12 months but he moans about Tony and then goes on holiday.
There was a major bus crash in the Square, the episode after people were mortified at Sylvie's racially insensitive dancing in the Vic.

I think he was very ADHD. Had many ideas but not the patience to see them through. Like he did great with the Lucy plot and then mucked it up following the reveal and the eagerness to move from one thing to another and things like Lee's depression were sparks of great ideas but then abandoned to move onto the next thing and the next thing... and the next thing.

Like you ever watched it in the 80s.
It's also nothing like it. The 80s was a very different time for the world and television. It also had it's iconic and original plot lines that made the show what it was and went down in TV history. Those bubbling alongside the quiet stuff and the realism made EE the huge success it was.
This time, we have...... none of that.

I have seen the episodes on youtube and it is very similar for the simply fact a man handing his wife divorce papers is the most watch show in british history how more simply could you get.
It was also very realistic such as the Cot Death storyline or Den being Michelle's lover

EastEnders fans should brace themselves for an angry showdown later this month as Denise Fox crosses paths with Albert Square's newest troublemaker Keegan Baker.
Denise (Diane Parish) finds herself on the receiving end of Keegan's nasty tongue shortly after she's attended an important meeting with social services following her recent decision to give up her son.
Denise speaks to the social worker for an update on the baby's progress after his adoption, but it all becomes too much when a tactless Kim demands even more information about the child.
Later on, Denise tries her best to be honest with Kim and opens up about her feelings - but they're interrupted when Keegan (Zack Morris) turns up and is disrespectful towards her.
As a furious argument brews in the middle of the Square, the situation quickly spirals out of control. Has Keegan finally met his match in Denise? Or will he get the last laugh once again?
