Just finished watching the PPV. I thought it was enjoyable, albeit I skipped through most of the show to watch the women's matches.

Women's MitB

Loved this match. Creative did it justice, in contrast to last year's which ended so terribly. I loved how all the women were utilised, and they were able to play to their strengths at some point. I wasn't sure who to root for throughout, but I'm not unhappy with Alexa winning. Yeah, it's tiresome for Alexa to always be in the title picture, but she's a charismastic heel and I thought it was fun because I wasn't expecting it.

I know the consensus is that Becky Lynch deserved it, but she just doesn't do it for me. I can't comprehend why I'm not much of a fan, but I just don't think she's exciting. Don't get me wrong, she's a great wrestler, just not someone who will ever be my favourite. Lana was fantastic. I had low expectations, but she kept up with everyone else and I ended up rooting for her. Naomi and Ember were brilliant, technically good wrestlers (the split onto the ladder was a highlight). Can't say much about Natalya, it felt like she had the least involvement in the match. SHe had good moments, though. Charlotte and Sasha were good additions.

Carmella vs Asuka

I can't take Carmella as champion anymore. I loved her as Ms. Money in the Bank, but she's becoming irksome. Unfortunate, because she was becoming my favourite wrestler in the women's division, but I'm just not feeling her anymore. The entire match felt unrealistic. Asuka wasn't able to wrestle to her full potentialy because it had to appear realistic that Carmella had somewhat of a chance. Ellsworth's re-appearance did nothing for me, and his staredown with Asuka was just strange.

Nia vs Ronda

Holy ****, this was fantastic. This is the reason why women deserved the push they're finally receiving today. It was so tense watching their showdown and the match kept itself at a good pace throughout. I thought it was a great idea to have Alexa come out and cost Ronda the win by DQ and then cash in her contract. It worked out perfectly, tbh.

Men's MitB

Didn't invest in this as much, since I was hyped over the past few matches. Can't say I'm a big fan of Braun Strowman. I prefer most of the other contenders, personally (Finn, Kevin, Rusev). The match was okay. I though Kevin falling from the ladder through the table was incredible.

Last night, June 17, after Money in the Bank a fan allegedly attacked Paige. Paige shared this on her Instagram, which was captured by Sean Ross of Fightful.com, about the incident:

“To the fan that decided to pie face me through my car window and then told me to ‘lose some weight, Paige’ you inspired me to keep being myself and eat whatever the f— I want. Good luck with your karma!”

According to PWInsider and Fightful, eyewitness accounts say Paige was greeting fans as she was leaving the venue and while high-fiving several through the passenger seat of the car she was traveling in, a male fan pushed her in the face and insulted her appearance.

Other fans present restrained and confronted the man while Paige’s car apparently left the scene, presumably to ensure her safety as quickly as possible in case the man had worse intentions.

There’s no word on if Paige’s assailant was detained by authorities, or even if his identity was ascertained so she or WWE can press charges.

As her Instagram story indicates, she left the scene unharmed.

SO, MASSIVE announcement during the UK Tournament tapings earlier...

According to those in attendance at WWE’s UK Championship Tournament tapings in London, WWE are set to launch NXT UK – a UK-based extension of the NXT brand.

Several people have tweeted about the announcement – which was tonight made by Johnny Saint, the new GM of WWE’s UK division, and Triple H.

As mentioned above, the brand will include women’s and tag team divisions, and tapings will begin on July 28th and 29th in Cambridge. Other shows are scheduled to take place in Birmingham, Plymouth and Liverpool, but crucially, there has been no mention of a TV deal. Presumably, like NXT itself, these shows will air on the WWE Network.

It is unclear which wrestlers will be drafted in to flesh out the brand, but WWE’s alliances with promotions such as PROGRESS, ICW, and Ireland-based OTT are perhaps a clue. It’s also unclear whether NXT UK will be season-based – as the taping schedule implies – or grow into an ongoing part of WWE’s regular Network schedule.

As reported, WWE announced that Big Cass has been released from the company. Apparently, per Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline, Vince McMahon held a meeting Tuesday prior to SmackDown Live airing, and made the decision to let Cass go.

According to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, a major issue was Big Cass excessively drinking during most of the European tour, and having attitudes with others while drunk. Moreover, being intoxicated while in public is something the WWE does not condone, which is why they were sour on Cass.

According to a source I reached out to, it was added that Cass could have been getting too comfortable with his character and getting in conflict with people backstage, and these are situations that usually get wrestlers in hot water. The source added that Cass could have been trying to make up for offending others by "playing politics," and it was probably a case of "keeping it real going wrong."

He also got locked in the tour bus toilet and thought it was the other guys pranking him so SMASHED THE DOOR DOWN drunk only to find out it was indeed a dodgy lock... So everyone else on the bus had to use the toilet with no door on after :hehe::hehe:
