Mauro Ranallo and the WWE reached an agreement for the energetic play-by-play broadcaster to join the company's NXT television crew. He previously worked on SmackDown.

Ranallo announced the new deal on his Instagram page Thursday.

"WWE and I mutually agreed to end my responsibilities on SmackDown having nothing to do with rumors about disputes," he wrote. "As I remained under contract with WWE, we discussed a variety of options. Despite originally agreeing to part ways, there was always a desire to continue working together. We have come to terms on a new agreement that benefits both WWE and me, and I am thrilled to announce I will now be part of the NXT broadcasting team."

They did Mae Young classic qualifications (The Women's Tournament) at the NXT tapings last night, one was the dark match, Binky Blair, now called Binky BelAir, beat Aliyah and Daniela Kamela won the other qualification match which might make it to air under the name Vanessa Bourne.

The new female ref, Kennadi Brink, was the ref for the dark match.

The aftermath of the chaotic scene on Monday Night RAW involving LaVar Ball and sons Lonzo and LaMelo ended with WWE issuing a statement late Monday night regarding a racial slur used by 15-year-old LaMelo.

With LaVar jumping around the ring and eventually taking off his shirt to confront The Miz, LaMelo used the slur twice on the live microphone at Staples Center in Los Angeles. He was laughing throughout the segment, but the slur received attention on social media.

Sports Illustrated published a censored version of the exchange:


“The inappropriate language used by a guest during the ‘Miz TV’ segment was not scripted nor reflects WWE’s values,” WWE said in a statement to The Los Angeles Times.

Andrea is now going under the name Sage Beckett and Demi is now Rhea Ripley.

Alongside Toni Storm, Alpha Female, and Piper Niven who have arrived in Florida to participate in the upcoming WWE Mae Young Classic tournament we have learned that UK Wrestler Ayesha Ray has also made it to Florida to possibly compete as apart of the Mae Young Classic or an alternate if she passes medical testing.

The 27 year old from London, England stands in at 6 foot tall and was trained primarily by Ricky and Saraya Knight at the WAW training academy.

For only having debuted in 2009 she’s done a lot capturing the SWF Ladies Title and the PWF Ladies Tag Titles with Destiny. She’s has worked in Japan for the STARDOM promotion joining the Moster-Gunn stable with Kyoko Kimaura, Alpha Female, and Hailey Hatred. She even managed to capture the Artist of STARDOM title along with Kimaura and Alpha Female and kept the title for almost her entire Japan tour.

She's in a ****storm but knowing WWE and the fact that she's part of that first gen of HHH's NXT, if she leaves ADR (which is harder than people think in an abusive relationship) and likely goes to rehab, etc. I could see her at least try to make a comeback, possibly on NXT first for a bit and then maybe make a shock main roster return after a big PPV or at the Rumble (As #2 or a late entrant) if they go through with the women's rumble

* Rhea Ripley defeated Miranda Salinas. Rhea with a huge dropkick in the corner. Miranda with a roll up for 2. Rhea hits a full nelson slam for the win. Rhea got over big with the crowd

Io Shirai is no longer going to WWE, heading back to Japan.

According to The Wrestling Observer (via 411 Mania), Io Shirai is no longer heading to the WWE and will be returning to Japan’s STARDOM.

Word of Shirai, who is considered one of the biggest names in women’s wrestling, coming to the WWE first surfaced in May when it was reported that she had accepted an offer from the WWE. She had bid her farewell to STARDOM with plans of starting with the WWE but those plans were delayed due to a neck injury.

She took some time off to treat the injury and was cleared by doctors to make a ring-return but the contract offer was since revoked over concerns of long-term health problems as the WWE has been avoiding signing talent with concussion or neck issues.

WWE posted the following breaking news on Twitter, announcing WWE RAW / 205 Live announcer Corey Graves will be taking over for JBL on commentary on WWE Smackdown Live.

With Graves’ move to Tuesday nights it was also announced that Nigel McGuiness will take over for Graves on 205 Live and WWE Main Event. As of this writing, it has not been announced if Graves will continue to work both RAW and Smackdown.

This is what she looks like, not too bad for 37. (Trying to find out if WWE signed her for any reason.
