None of us are begrudging Kirk, Livia or anyone else's success, especially since everyone (well, maybe not Nicky) seems to agree with you that Kirk is the rightful winner regardless of how the voting went, and our only wish is that the game hadn't been sabotaged in order to achieve those results. With 10 judges I think having singular points helps both keep the results closer/less predictable, and prevents us from having too strong of an influence on the final results. For example, if you removed the judges and left it to the players this time around it would've resulted in:

Josiah pretty clearly stated that you could vote however many times you wanted when the poll opened, seeing as this was a new system and the rules had to be laid out, so those of us who were following the game closely (i.e. the contestants) all knew that

Again, I don't see why anyone not involved in the game is trying so hard to start drama, when we're all happy with Kirk winning and we're more annoyed thar the actions of a few mean that his deserved win will be seen as less legitimate than it otherwise would have been

Is it though, if it was an open vote where you could vote multiple times, just like it is at Eurovision and every other reality show then what is this issue, there wasn't a one vote per person rule so i don't really see the issue.

It's just a fun game at the end of the day, the right song won as everyone agrees and it will be memorable and as you say give people inspiration for the next one

Anyway it's all fine now, it's fairer with the old system and I've received PMs from those who "benefitted" from this vote saying how embarrassed they are by the whole thing so yes I think it is a bit of an issue. I also think it's a bit of an issue that childish members are coming in and just congratulating those two who they like, ignoring everyone else, including Josiah who ran the damn thing, and then picking fights over something they have never, ever, shown an interest in before :idc: but I guess that's the state of affairs on here.

Not understanding this at all? Unless you are on about Nicky voting for himself once, which clearly is not the issue here. Someone has been pathetic enough to sit and multi vote for a long time in order to fix it.

Now, As I said I posted my judges votes earlier in the thread and my top 2 were MB and kirk anyway, and I am more than happy with the winner..however, people WILL assoiate this years with the year someone cheated to get kirk and livia top 2 (and from the look of the vote, tried specifically to push some members down in the rankings). When their songs should speak for themselves really. I feel quite bad for kirk and livia tbh because I am certain they aren't childish enough to vote for themselves hundreds of times to fix it so...someone else has tainted this for them

anyway overall the close call in amount of points between #1 and #2 made it very exciting

Eh? The ones who were multi voted did win? Yes adams didn't, nor mocks but they did suceed in pushing certain other songs down the rankings enough, which was the goal.

Also, no votes can be verified from the public vote, as it was offsite and no username was entered for it.

Either way, people will remember that this year was the year that someone was pathetic enough to do this. Luckily, it seems everyone is in agreement that the winner was fantastic anyway so it won't matter as much. But the denying that it happened, and also trying to make out that it was members voting for themselves that did it..well..thats basically accusing kirk and livia (and other members too..yes, nicky admitted it but his one vote doesn't make a difference here so lets stop pretending it does eh?) of voting for themselves over and over. And I am damn near 100% confident that they would not do that.
