TiBB Eurovision Song Contest: Minsk 2018
Friday 1st June & Saturday 2nd June

Official Wikia: Click Here! (https://channel-tibb.wikia.com/wiki/TiBB_Eurovision_Song_Contest_2018)

It is almost that time to let the competition begin again! TiBB Eurovision is coming back for the tenth year in a row to coincide with the real life contest, as 4 of those times were done around Christmas; and its the first year under my control :hee: What songs will be read and heard? What will Rudolph and Augustine do this year? Who will be offended by Trump jokes? Will we get to freak-out mid-voting as another forum member enters the Big Brother house? Where is the constant translations into French? And when will we hear the glorious refrains of the female Bulgarian singer who sang gibberish? We just have no clue.

- If you want to take part, reply to this thread with the country you want! But please, if you do reserve a country, I expect an entry.
- As usual, all applicants must produce their own song. This usually takes the form of a funny parody of an existing song, or (in recent contests) original songs.
- Lyrics, an artist name and song title are all that's required.
- However, the majority of past participants have opted to include wardrobe designs, stage designs, and even an audio/video recording.
- Members may only represent one country.
- Given recent hostile surroundings, I ask that no members who're banned are used as subject matter in your songs :p - this rule has been in place since 2014 but hey, wouldn't you know? It's still appropriate!

You have just about 3 and a half months to create your entries (long story short: the contest is in May)... please make them as entertaining as possible, and please don't feel afraid to take part :) The more entries, the more fun it is to run. Songs can be about anything you like, and whilst we are fairly liberal with what is deemed "in good taste" obviously a song containing 30 different death threats may well find itself lost in my inbox and doomed never to enter

The winner of this glorious festivity shall also receive a supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics this lovely little award, already shared by the amazing TiBB legends of Dezzy, Niamh, PJ, and Shaun! - http://cdn.thisisbigbrother.com/medals/eurovision.gif (this is a placeholder for a new award currently waiting approval, check your PMs Niamh!) - so if that isn't motivation to bring your A game, I don't know what is.

For more motivation, because who doesn't want to break Shaun's record of 321 points from Christmasvision 2017; the public will have more say as to who wins (a la Melodifestivalen). This year, the public will have their votes separated from the participants; and the public votes counted in an online poll will be counted and converted to points by proportional representation of the percentages.

Also, this year; postcards will mean more as I am suggesting that you make a video and/or take pictures of you making the flag of the country you are participating as in creative ways (a la Eurovision 2014), so I can make postcards look very pretty and unique.

I'm not forcing you all to do this bit; I can just use bits and pieces of the actual ESC2014 postcards in their place.

i've been promoting our game on http://www.escforum.net/forum/index.php a eurovision forum

just to get our game also noticed by others, they have a game called ISC and OSC, they create their own country and then use songs from all over the world, but i think ours is more cool to write our own songs instead

Morgan.

2 and a half months to go, and only 2 out of 14 (formerly 15) songs so far.

Josiah.
04-03-2018, 02:18 AM
Two months to go! Let's just hope that I don't have to postpone this until Christmasvision in December because of a low number of songs.

Josiah.
11-03-2018, 11:37 PM
I think people forgot about this, and I really don't want to force another edition onto Shaun or postpone this until December if there's a low number (2) of songs... :(

Josiah.
23-03-2018, 09:55 PM
With the way things are at the moment, the recording of my song won't be complete until either the end of this month or the beginning of next month.

Also, with DutchBrother requesting The Netherlands (and hopefully with a song ready for May); it's the first time we've had The Netherlands in TiBB Eurovision or Christmasvision since 2015.

19 provisional countries. That's the most we've had in a year (when there was 17) but it doesn't beat Xmasvision 2015 when there was 27.

Out of the blue but could I do Germany please, had a cracking idea for a song whilst on ketamine a while ago and this is the only outlet I could think of

Josiah.
25-03-2018, 11:45 PM
I'm letting you all know now (unless you've read the Wikia), that I've set a minimum of 12 countries and a maximum of 22 countries for the grand final; because I don't want a Xmasvision 2015 repeat and sitting at the computer for about 3-3.5 hours.

Also, here's the provisional* running order (that I keep updating):
01 • Netherlands - DutchBrother
02 • Sweden - T*
03 • Croatia - Jamie89
04 • Ireland - Epic.
05 • Norway - Shaun
06 • Italy - TwentyOneThrones
07 • Albania - Lilbro

Josiah.
22-04-2018, 04:54 PM
Kirk, there is enough time for you to make a song (as Greece)!

Shaun, why I have the nerve to pester you about having a song is because you've normally had your songs ready way before the contest; and having no song just 2 weeks before is very weird for you.

Also, RileyH; even if it isn't a parody or an original song, you could just come up with a simple poem if you're having writer's block.

Anteater by Funky Funky

http://i.imgur.com/K6g20Kv.jpg

The video begins with Babayaro, Marsh and the anteater playing Bop It on the living room floor.

It is night time.

Babayaro and Marsh are dressed as American jocks for some reason. The anteater looks normal for its kind.

[Record scratch]
[Freeze frame]

Babayaro: yup that’s me, you’re probably wondering why Marsh is in my home…

*20 minutes earlier*

Marsh and Babayaro are doing jelly shots in the kitchen

Marsh: that’s some dank jelly bro
Babayaro: you can say that aga-
Marsh: holy **** is that an anteater?!
Babayaro: it’s probably a dog
Marsh: it’s so god damn big!
Babayaro: this situation is not likely. I mean, anteaters can be found in Central America and we live in Europe. They cannot even see in the dark
Marsh: it has a snout and a long tongue
Babayaro: ****

zzJoWR1Vu80

He’ll only come out at night
The mean and hungry shite
Disgusting, ew! I’ve seen him here before
Frothing and masturbating
Ooh, he’s ******** on you and ties you against the door
So many persuade the beast
With a wink you’re away for free
The demon is riled, a she-cat tamed by the purr of a jaguar
What does it matter
If you get rid of
You ain’t gonna get too far

(Oh here he comes)
Watch your toys he’ll sook them up
(Oh here he comes)
He’s an anteater

I wouldn’t if I were you
I know what he can do
He’s a friendly man, but he could unzip your curled ma-aan part
Might not even matter
Guard duty is here and the beast is in the hall

(Oh here he comes)
Watch your toys he’ll sook them up
(Oh here he comes)
He’s an anteater
(Oh here he comes)
Watch your toys he’ll sook them up
(Oh here he comes)
He’s an anteater

Nooooo,
Oh here he comes
Watch your toys he’ll sook them up
Woah here comes
(Watch out)
He’s an anteater
Oh here he comes
(He’s an anteater)
Ooh, he’ll sook them up
(Ooh here he comes)
Here he comes, he’s an anteater
(Oh here he comes)
(Watch out)
He only comes out to fight, ooh
(Oh here he comes)
Here he comes
He’s an anteater
(Oh here he comes)
(He’s an anteater)
The demon is riled, ooh
(Oh here he comes)
Here he comes
Watch your toys, watch your toys
(Oh here he comes)
Oh, watch them, watch them, watch them, watch them
(Oh here he comes)
Yeah yeah he’s an anteater
(Oh here he comes)
(He’s an anteater)
He’s frothing and masturbating

Also, this year; postcards will mean more as I am suggesting that you make a video and/or take pictures of you making the flag of the country you are participating as in creative ways (a la Eurovision 2014), so I can make postcards look very pretty and unique.
