Personally I thought Sean was a really good character involved in some really good story lines in his short stint. I know DTC wanted him back for the Secret Slater story line and I’m assuming Santer/Kirkwood wanted him back for the Archie and Stacey leaving sagas. Newman may have wanted him back for Jean’s departure and as Marsh put to me earlier, SOC probably wanted him back to kill him off!

But he had a lot of crap stories too, the first that came to mind is the Patrick attacked in the Minute Mart plot and his relationship with Chelsea. :joker:

I enjoyed his last year or so though when he was involved with Roxy and Archie's storyline.

In the grand scheme of things though he's not really what I would consider a top tier character, but EE tends to kill those off so we're left with the Sean's and the Ruby's when it comes to major returns. :joker:

Tbf, I don't think much of the last 18 months has been Yorke either.

He seems to have worked at arm's length and just been the man to talk a bunch of actors into returning and casting people like Katie Jarvis. The actual running of the show seems to be down to Sharon Batten, which given the state of the show in the second half of DTC's tenure it seems to match. She's not very good and shouldn't be in any show running position at all.

The Dr Legg story is John's so I'm assuming he planned their return in advance of Kate starting.

Whereas timing wise the Ahmed's sisters arriving tonight probably marks a direct end and start of the eras in the same episode.
