I was one of those people :laugh: but I think that’s what makes her the standout this year, how she just managed to completely turn it around. That is one of the main reasons why I would like her to win.

I did enjoy this series tbh but it was a very slow start, it got better around the time Rebecca entered until the last few episodes. I hope series 7 starts in July/August, casa amor has changed and no more winter series. I think it would be a good vibe having Love Island at the same time as the olympics like it was with the world cup and Love island 4 in 2018.

Paige and Finn are fine but just bleh. Just like S2 (overrated), S3 (not as good as almost all the other finalists) and 4 (well okay 4 were just crap)

The only thing I will give this final is it was definitely unpredictable (between those two at least)

...exactly what Paige has just said is pretty much for me as well...I was probably more of a Paige fan than a Finn fan but they’re nice winners...Jess though, making the final...:lovedup:...that so balanced out Eve’s early departure...

Gutted Sianesse and Luke T didn't win. What I liked about them is they were quite natural and genuine. I found a fakeness in Finn and Paige. Finn was too cliched and seemed desperate to be the first to jump every hurdle..the Girlfriend..the L word...the Living together. It was almost as if the more boxes he ticked the better chance he had of winning...(he was right) but I don't think they will last once the dust settles. It will be another Dani/whatshisname all over again who made all the same commitments during their series.

agree with all of this, it will last as long as the money rolls in and then fizzle out, I didn't find them genuine at all, same with Jack and Dani and look how that turned out

I agree.... when you consider all these negative views of Paige and Fin are based around a few minutes of heavily edited highlights - it seems so unfair for people to judge them as boring or pointless..

It’s so interesting how we all have different favourites ... being a bloke the “lookers” like Paige , Mollie , Natalia and Rebecca will always have a strong appeal.. then the nice lads like the two Lukes , Finley and Callum are obviously just so likeable .

It’s so interesting that you ( and others obviously) detest two of my absolute favourites ( Paige and Fin) and yet love Jess and Eve .. whereas I feel the exact opposite.. yet we’ve all seen the exact same footage ..

Maybe the amount is about right .. if it was a £100,000 or even £250,000 ... can you imagine how people like Jess , Mike , Eva or Natalia would behave ?

They’d take their fakeness to a whole new level and it would encourage tactical voting whenever they got chance to vote someone out ..or not save them .

Ugh what were the odds? I love a reality TV bet and - although I was 70/30 that Luke T and Mayonaise were going to win, I'd definitely have stuck £50 on Finn and Paige if it was 5/2 or better. I don't keep up with odds now that I'm no longer in the industry... clearly missing out :fist:.

And that's what would make it better. 50k (25k by now) is nothing since most of them can make that money in a month. If it was increased to say 100k, 250k or even 500k then we'd see if they're actually in there for love or money. It would make for amazing TV if one of them stole it if the prize money was increased.

I honestly don’t think their ‘special’ relationship will ever be the same .. knowing Jess’s personality now I reckon that Jess will be extremely aggrieved for a long , long time ..

I still think Jess should have walked out with Eve .. as a show of solidarity..

Knowing the power of social media I bet the producers would have brought them both back a week or so later ..

Tbh I could imagine with all that’s happened over the last week or so and the news still being pretty fresh to the islanders who’ve just come out the show, its probably best that they don’t do a reunion this year. I doubt the crew backstage would really be up for it too as I could imagine Caroline’s death has affected some of them quite a bit, so for their sake it’s probably best they skip the reunion this year.
