Tbf that particular game suited Grealish quite well.
I'll never see him as a £100 Million player, but it was definitely his best performance in a Man City shirt imo.
Presumably the first of many.. he just has to be himself - as that’s who Pep admired so much .

He should try being an Everton fan or a fan of the other 90 odd football league clubs for a day then he wouldn't be so selfish.
In his lifetime he's seen Manchester United win 13 league titles, 2 European cups and a fair few FA and League cups.
He should to be greatful and not so angry towards his team.
Calm down mate, it just isn't your era right now. Stop being greedy.

am curious where Roger Schmidt could be going as next manager job
he has said he really wants to go to the Premier League, since he is leaving PSV at the end of this season
can see him being a decent choice for the Saudi project at Newcastle, more ambitious as their current coach anyway

his coaching style is very interesting, would also be something for premier league his 4-2-2-2
also he is the one who somehow and i still can't understand it, managed to sign a former mannschaft world champion Mario Gotze to PSV (whom has fallen in love with the fans here, even saying he has never seen such passionate fans as PSV fans)

he's better manager than Rangnick, although if i were man u i would keep Rangnick on board as sports director
he and Schmidt worked together at Leipzig for a short while too (before they went for then youth coach Nagelsmann)

Brighton should be down to ten men

Everton need at least 3 maybe 4 more wins with 1 or 2 draws to stay up. Tonight was a start now they need to take some confidence from tonight and kick on.

so Erik ten Hag next season new Manchester United manager, what do we think about that?
i am unsure about this next career move for him, can see him getting sacked real soon too somehow, considering how harsh the United board of directors are, and also depends on which players he gets to work with, and i think i personally wouldn't want to work with that HUGE ego that is CR7, i'd shove him towards the exit with the next best offer, also would be best for United too i think if CR7 leaves again, for other talented new generations to get their chance to rise up
am curious who will be the new Ajax manager, if they have balls they will do what PSV does now, promote a former player to role of head coach, like John Heitinga would be nice i think, he does a decent job so far at being coach of youth teams
but Ajax lack the balls to make such bold moves :fan: inbefore they will approach someone like Antonio Conte  big no no for a team like Ajax, how so not loyal that one is, and him only preferring short spells, while Ajax is a long term project (somehow that does make Ten Hag fit well into United since that is also a long term project club, but is his preferred playing style good for United's preferred game tactics that is what i am not sure of)

Newcastle now at 11th place :o
not bad considering they were in the relegation zone not that really long time ago
think Norwich is a certain going down, Watford too i guess
Burnley or Everton, and i think Leeds aren't completely out of trouble yet either
as for remaining CL spots up for grabs
well probably Chelsea, and then a fight between Spurs, Arsenal and Man United for that last spot, can see also strong chances for Man United for Europa League, at least that one is a higher level than Conference League, and i think West Ham in a conference league tournament next season wouldn't be bad, i think West Ham could really be top contenders there
mid table for Newcastle this season would still be decent, and i expect them to get very very active in the summer with the new saudi money, but also nothing too extreme on transfer market like City, they need to play things smart, one or two top players and invest in own youth to try and build a solid team around your own product, becoming another city would be a no no for Magpies, very offputting that would be towards their fans
none of the teams fighting for the 4th spot deserve the champions league, they are all basically ****

Paul Pogba is "unlikely" to play for Manchester United again this season, says interim manager Ralf Rangnick.
The France midfielder, 29, is out of contract this summer and came off 10 minutes into Tuesday's 4-0 defeat by Liverpool with a calf injury.
Pogba is set to be out "four weeks minimum", with United's last game of the season at Crystal Palace on 22 May.
"It is very unlikely he will play again until the end of the season," said Rangnick.

Why hasn't Var informed the referee that Mane shoved an Everton player in the face. That's a sending off offence and he's been allowed to get away with it.

To be fair ... Gordon has kicked the ball away three times just to waste more time - when it’s gone for a throw in .. that is three bookings yet he’s not even been spoken to yet .
There’s only Doucoure who’s not diving but then again he’s fouling persistently

Whether you get beat 1-0 or 10-0 you still get the same points. You're not gonna get back into it by being on the retreat. Just get some bodies in the Liverpool half and pin them back.
Our defence should be on the half way line now but they keep retreating to their own penalty area.

if they do that it will be 4 or 5 nil and lampard will be out of a job. They can still sneak a goal the way its going
if they do that it will be 4 or 5 nil and lampard will be out of a jobIt might be and it might not. 1-0 is equally as bad as 5-0 because you get the same amount of points for both.
We need 2 goals and you're not gonna get any if all of your players are in your own half.
If I was the Everton manager I would be ripping up at least 11 players contracts right now and telling them that they'll never play for Everton again. These players ain't gonna keep you up, let's see what some of the players in the youth team can do in the first team. But he won't, he'll continue to pick the same players that have already proved that they arne't good enough to play at this level. Ambitionless

I'd like Everton to be relegated, but the team 4th from bottom gets caught up in a scandal resulting in a points deduction. Just so everyone knows they're down, but they still get to stay up.
leeds have a tough run in, so they must be a possibility too
I more or less called it early in the season in this thread when Calvert-Lewin got injured that if we don't replace him while he's out then we were in trouble.
Our game was about getting the ball forward to him and him bringing players into the game. We had no plan B. Now we'll have to sell Calvert-Lewin and start again from scratch. A relegation is probably what we need to do that and what we deserve.

i think everton must be odds on to go down. They need to gather points quickly and there is no evidence that they can do that. Contrary to what lampard said yesterday, i thought everton played terribly. They had 17% possession and they fouled and dived the whole match hardly ever stringing a series of passes together. They occasionally hoofed it up the park for 1 guy to chase.

It's not that big of a deal being relegated. Relegation happens every season so it has to happen to someone. I've seen Manchester City and Chelsea relegated in my time. I think there's only five teams I've never seen relegated and Everton are one of those, so we've had a good run.
I have seen Everton in this position a few times. I've seen us in two last day of the season relegation deciders in the 1990s.
You only get hyped over football like it's the end of the World because the media tells you too. It's not that big a deal, not when Rugby league is your number 1 sport.
I'll still support Everton whatever division they're in, you won't catch me having a break down like Liverpool or Manchester United fans do when they finish lower than 4th in the league. Their glory hunter fans are the worst, they think they should be the only clubs that should be allowed to win all the trophies every season and if they don't they send death and Bomb threats to their players. Tbf it's a fair point.
You can play like Real Madrid, but if you can't stick the ball in the back of the net then it does you no good.
Basically I agree with you.
Chelsea are so unpredictable, if we had a consistent striker we'd be challenging for the league title. Rudiger leaving in the summer will be a pretty big blow. Mason Mount's improvement this season has been phenomenal. Reece James is excellent. Kante is a rock in defensive mid. Alonso and Dave are as reliable as ever. Havertz hit and miss, Timo works hard. Lukaku will never cut it at Chelsea imo, just one of those things.
I dunno, im happy with the team, we just lack that killer instinct, and edge that Liverpool and City have atm.
its almost certainly going to go to the last game of the season to find out who has won the league which is great the fans. There really is nothing to separate the 2 teams

Everton are writing to the PGMOL to ask why Klopp has signed a new contract when they thought he was leaving in 2024 :smug:

I think that the fact that City have more home games left than Liverpool will be the deciding factor tbh
