for the neutrals among us it makes sunday an exciting day. The good thing is that it will push both sides to be even better next season and that ultimately improves the whole league. As a Man U supporter, either team winning the league is bad news
Which one of them has the most league titles ?

Ezri Konsa has been ruled out for up to 16 weeks after suffering a knee injury during Sunday’s draw with Crystal Palace.
The centre-back sustained the injury in the 50th minute and was subsequently replaced by Calum Chambers at Villa Park.

Leeds needs more points than Burnley due to horrible goal difference. (Or a win of 20 goals or so against Brentford at away.)
Burnley just needs to match Leeds total points in order stay in PL.

It might be entertaining, but they're so amateurish at defending which is an important part of the game, even the other entertaining teams understand this.

Leeds have been without their best three players all season .. Cooper , Phillips are vital to their defence ( and Bamford .)

I do like Leeds, but in terms of who has edged it this season I would say Burnley yes Leeds were without key players but they should bounce back up if they can keep hold of them of course
provided burnley match or exceed the leeds result, they stay up, so the odds have got to favour them. In one game anything can happen though so it will be a nail biter for both sets of fans.
Battle for the 4th place (final CL slot):
Arsenal v Everton
Norwich v Tottenham
if norwich win against spurs i will dance naked down the high street
Last day should be interesting.
City/Liverpool for the title. (crazy that City can lose and still clinch it)
Spurs/Arsenal for 4th. (if Spurs choke this, then, well there is no hope for them)
Man Utd/West Ham for 6th. (the Hammers have a much better GD, so if Utd draw and West Ham with, 6th is theirs)
Burnley/Leeds relegation. (wouldn't wanna call this one, but i think Leeds will stay up if i had to guess)

I said I wanted you to stay up. Congrats. Big shout out to Lampard too, who took over when you were 16th and somehow managed to drag you all the way up the table to 16th.

As a player Frank will be up there with my all time favourites. I just can't take to him as a manager though. I don't see much, if any improvement from Everton next season.

Yeah, I agree. He'll be under a lot more pressure next season, so we'll see what he's actually made of. If he only keeps the bitters where they currently are, he could find the phone stops ringing pretty soon.

Yeah, DCL's fitness will be crucial, that's if they manage to keep him. Wasn't he rumoured with Arsenal?!
Decent players don't always make decent managers. Roy Keane and Gary Neville spring to mind. Great footballing talent, never cut it as managers. I fear Frank is headed down the same path. My mind has gone blank, but im sure there are many other great players who have failed in management.

I'd say actually that most great players don't end up being very good managers and they also often don't make very good pundits
There seems to be a lot of goodwill towards Lampard at Everton even though I don't think he's done a particularly good job, if they'd got relegated that would have been on him because there's a lot more talent in that squad than the teams below them imo. Next season will be an interesting test for him
What have said all season? We're a completely different team with Calvert-Lewin in. Our low finish was down to not replacing him while he's been missing for almost all of the season. He comes back in and we can score goals again.

Leeds or Burnley?
tough one
i'd say on paper Leeds could have an easier opponent than Burnley but the ball is round is how the saying goes
Tottenham and Arsenal for the deciding last spot for CL
hmmmm
Spurs up against Norwich, ok easy one i guess although maybe Norwich want to finish the season at least in style and if they can stir some **** up top well they should take that chance by all means
Arsenal vs Everton: Everton have just saved themselves so less pressure on them to do well now, but anyway for Arsenal european football is confirmed but i think the extra cash from CL compared to EL could be a nice motivation in the last game of the season
Manchester United and West Ham for either EL or ECL tickets
Palace and Man United ok, doable for them
West Ham and Brighton, also pretty doable
Spurs are 14/1 NOT to finish in the Top 4, im half tempted to put a tenner on it. If any team could choke 4th (considering the excellent position they're in, vs worst team in the PL) it's Spurs!

I think there needs to be a system in place where the ownership has to relinquish the club in situations like this.
After all why should the Everton fans, players, Manager, Coaches & regular workers at the club suffer just because the ownership doesn't understand how to run a business?

Not had a bet in a while, last day of the season so i've done a tenner on a Norwich/Arsenal win double. Works out better odds like that and it's the only way Spurs can choke 4th, a loss and a Arsenal win. £10 pays £165.
Any news update on the Spurs food poisoning ??

See how entertaining football can be when teams are actually trying to win instead of trying not to lose?
They should bring in a new rule that you lose a point if your team plays negative and defensively instead of attacking. That way you'll get end to end open games all the time instead of the keeping possession and passing side to side bore fests.

Sorry Neem, don’t infract me :worry:
I wasn't too bothered who won the league. I guess i'd have preferred City over Liverpool if i had to choose. I certainly don'f feel bad for Liverpool though, they've done us in 2 finals this season!!

They didn't beat you at playing football, they won a couple of penalty shoot-outs which is basically a lottery or spin of a coin.

I suppose. 2 really bad pens in both finals from us though.

Congratulations Manchester City. You deserved it. (Liverpool would have also had they won)
Well done Tottenham on getting 4th place and a place in CL.
Good Job Leeds on saving yourselves from relegation. (although Newcastle helped you quite a bit)
The ref blowing the whistle in the city game after Emerson lay on the floor like a baby for 2 mins is very suspicious
I noticed that .. he somehow forgot to add on the time wasted by Foden and Emerson who were both down after the 4 minute board went up

When did Everton last win a trophy? They can barely win a game now adays
It may help Liverpool in the CL final now ..
They can go out all guns blazing to end the season on a high note plus no worries about the quadruple

Gerrard blaming Pep for Villa's keeper being assaulted??? Ok it's wrong, of course, but why Pep? Salty, much?!

Yep, certainly agree with that. Not Pep's fault though.

What a day that was, you really couldn't write it
I think all results were fair in the end - City have been the best team this season, Burnley have barely been out of the bottom 3 all year, Arsenal don't deserve 4th and well we bottled it massively but our season had been going that way tbh, United have been better over the whole campaign
Looking forward to away days in Slovenia in the Conference League next season

can also be nice to be considered a frontrunner in that european cup :)
but not the least teams in that
Italy's Fiorentina, Spain's Villarreal (whom were recent europa league winners) Germany has FC Koln
Belgium has former top team Anderlecht
we dutch got FC Twente, and then one of AZ or Vitesse (whoever wins play off for the last ticket)
Scotland with Motherwell, Dundee United
Romania's Steaua Bucharest another familiar club name with lots of history
Yeah there's probably not actually much in it in terms of standard between the Europa and Conference League, especially once you get to knockout stage. The two teams in the Conference League final this year are arguably better than both teams who were in the Europa final last week
Yep, certainly agree with that. Not Pep's fault though.
it is the home sides responsibility (in this case city) to ensure there are enough police to control the crowd safely. They failed miserably

The guests wouldn't be responsible for a party it would be the organisers.

This pernicious trend of running onto the park in England has to stop tbh. It wont be long before someone runs onto the park at Arsenal and gets man of the match..
As an Everton fan I am totally on the side of Patrick Viera for kicking that moron Everton fan. Perfectly in the right to defend himself.

I heard on the grapevine that Liverpool intend to change their system to 4 /2 /3 / 1 to get the best out of new striker Nunez and it will also mean a new role for Firmino just behind Nunez in the three - with Salah on the right and Diaz on the left ..
Sounds like a fabulous idea !!

Firmino/Jota, they were almost 50/50 last season
Firmino/Jota, they were almost 50/50 last season
The role suits Firmino better though due to his unique ability to drop deep and link up the play .
Kinda like a couple of years ago when he was instrumental in so much of Liverpool’s best play .. maybe a tad deeper now

I bet Cavani is seething ... it looked like he was going to be leading the line at ManU until Cronaldo turned up .. Cavani relegated to the bench .. then Cavani realises he has to get away to get some game time before the World Cup only to learn that a few weeks after leaving ... bladdy Ronaldo decides to jump ship !!
