Aww no I don't Parm. I don't dislike Hamza as a person, he's really lovely. But for him to win was an embarrassment and an insult to the other 3 finalists imo.
But Kate what about previous series ' when worse dancers and unlikeable people have won who never deserved it?? , yet they never got this much fuss over it .
I liked Hamza, you know i wanted Fleur or Molly to win as they were the best and i loved everything they did ... but i accepted that was never going to happen.
Yes the judges especially Shirley is a bias silly judge , but at the end of the day Hamza was voted winner by the public . And i'm pleased for him. And from what i hear .... he was really humble about the glitter ball trophy aswell  .
When has strictly ever been just a dance competition, it's more so a popularity contest, hence why Bill Bailey won that year or why Christopher Parker got to the final in series 1 , what about when Ricky Whittle got robbed aswell. There's plenty i could name who should have won, in previous years but never did . Alexandra Burke was also robbed IMO ... but oh well
Over the years there's been some unlikeable yet very popular celebs that have won, who i've thought ehhh dull :conf: ... but that's how it goes.
Also certain women get harshly critiqued on strictly which isn't fair , Molly & Fleur sadly didn't have enough support . Helen is the only woman this year who had a really strong fanbase by looks of it .
Shirley should get replaced with a more fair judge , someone like Len but not as picky.
Kate!

Yes but it merits a fuss. I also protested when Bill Bailey won over Maisie and HRVY because they hyped him to death as well as Hamza.

all showdances were crap honestly, a showdance should be wildly over the top
german version does that loads better, with a movie or musicals theme and a mashup of 3 or 4 songs
Lili's showdance was to Aladdin, or Ingolf's was to Shrek to talk about some of their recent winners
as for the winner, i am happy for my dad that his fave Hamza won, i myself am happy for Jowita, i like her, she is indeed a superb addition to the pro line up (great replacement for Oti, Janette) pretty sure she'll also be kind that they know might throw a older duffer at her, i cannot see her wanting to ditch that one a la Aliona style, i think she has a gentle approach to her celeb partners (her short partnership with Adrian last years xmas show was also a nice one)
good on Vito and Carlos for anyway having made the final in their first year either, i wanna see Vito with a journey middler now i think, and Carlos good to have a king of rumba onboard
it has been a brilliant series, that eliminated couples group dance also lovely seeing everyone again, and everyone was pretty good as well, Kaye's cartwheel trick :clap2: DJ Tony Adams with another striptease :worship: Matt Goss dancing to his song  :worship: glad he showed up and proved his haters wrong who thought he would throw a diva tantrum after his elimination
judges need a shake up for my liking, preferably Shirley out, telling Anton off to not only be an absolute arsekisser with only 10 score paddles, in the german version you never get high marks especially in early weeks, some are happy if they get 5's 6's and avoiding the dreaded 1's 2's
am sooooooo looking forward to lets dance on season again for me, you also have the overhyped couples there but those never win yes looking at you Janin Ullmann and Valentina Pahde
also btw @Christmas Lights/Goldheart, newsreaders aren't always boring you know, in last 2 years they had been among my faves in german version, Ulrike von der Groeben (such a charming, lovely sports news presenter) Jan Hofer (an absolute cutie of a national treasure there, and him having done the show at age of 69!!! and keeping up with most of the younger cast and having had the cutest partnership with his pro Christina, almost a ''grandfather/granddaughter'' pairing
they also had a Hamza type recently yes, in terms of full of joy personality but a lesser capable dancer as Hamza, the brazilian bundesliga top goalscorer Ailton, whom did give us a traditional brazilian salsa
as for our deaf contestant Benjamin Piwko he never got sympathy support for his disability, but more for his ability to dance so well, with emotion/passion in every dance he did (apart from the jive where he struggled with the too fast beats, yes he feels the beat of the music, same how Rose explained that kinda)
roll on lets dance christmas allstars on friday for me woooooo!

What about Bill Bailey he wasn't the best ,but he got a big following . I think people were pleasantly surprised at how quick Bill could move for his age .
And I think Hamza surprised people with his body aswell, like I said Fleur & Molly were technically the best ,and my favourites.
But I knew they never going to win. The public just didn't support them enough, which happens alot in strictly unfortunately.

Bill was great but not as great as Ingolf for me personally, and i was more pleasantly surprised about Ingolf than i was with Bill (Bill is also a musician besides a comedian so that explained his musicality too) Ingolf mainly known for stand up comedy and for being a football fan, and 62 yrs old, i mean production there thought to sabotage Ekat by giving her the oldest celeb, and they tried it again the year after with the tallest celeb and failed again when she won also for third time in a row (Pascal Hens, handball player)
Pascal is even way taller than Dan Walker for example  and he was sooooo light on his feet

these are still a couple btw from the german version, they reached the final btw, and now they have a family together, recently a second child
Massimo Sinato with actress, model Rebecca Mir
he is a fan favourite among their pro's, more like their ''Anton'' having been in almost every series since the beginning

what lazy tactics?
production didn't have to do much because Rose already oozes such likeability, loveable personality qualities
and in her final it was either her or the same-sex couple so that wasn't a huge surprise lol, pretty sure Rose had 99% of the public vote in that head 2 head final
whereas Nicolas & Vadim had a portion of the vote in a 3 way final over in germany, but well they were up against a popular soapstar (Valentina Pahde) and a footballing Thor hunk (Rurik Gislason) with a sad story of his mom having died recently before that series (his magic moment was basically centred around his love for him mum, with elton's circle of life song) so yeah Rurik winning wasn't a surprise, but he also was a pretty solid dancer so, that was a strong series all in all

Rose just did the same dance most weeks.
It'd tend to be a slow dance while playing a Princess character, if I'm not mistaken I think she even had a Castle prop in the final.:joker:

alright
Ricky & Luba: quite a stompy salsa, and outfit wise more belongs with a paso :fan: he had fun though and that is more important for a xmas special i guess but lets hope he never does a regular series  8
Larry & Nadiya: simple, sophisticated, elegant waltz, reminded me of a ballroom top class performance at the winter gardens :clap1: 10
Rosie & Neil: not as good as Amara Pocher for my liking, but decent jive, the Pochers are much better entertainers than the Ramseys for me personally, 7
George & Amy: CONGRATS Darling, there was absolutely zero swivel content in this charleston :laugh3: a shame because most of the other charleston content looked really nice, but swivel is like the main ingredient of this dance, soo sorry not sorry but 1
Nicola & Giovanni: emotional, genuine, classy, amazing waltz 10
Alexandra & Kai: can we keep Kai always like this, sexy santa (and he kinda comes close to looking as good as Tim Allen's Santa) anyway back to the dancing, great ballroom hold, frame, very deliciously neat footwork and a fun performance to go with, divine 12 (sorry but 10 or 11 are too little for a dancing queen like you)
