Spurs’ problem is that their fans still talk like they’ve got Harry Kane–level players, even though the squad is nowhere near that standard anymore. You still see things like a Spurs fan picking a North London combined XI with nine Spurs players and Vicario over Raya, which tells you everything about the delusion baked into the place. Only Rice and Saka made it. Add in a wage structure where Van de Ven isn’t even on £100k - he'd get twice that at Liverpool or City - and the wild mood swings after two wins, and it’s clear Spurs fans, not Arsenal’s, are the most detached from reality.

I don't think it's that teams are playing crap; it's that the level has raised so that every team is capable of beating every other team in the league. So it's anyone's guess how it will all turn out

Fantastic and has really come into his own since Paqueta left. He's filled that creative role while also actually being very tough defensively. Seems to have a great partnership with Soucek

I only watched about 30 minutes and had to leave it but I thought that Brighton’s first goal should’ve been disallowed as Welbeck pushed Konate away then scored the header


Plus Milner used an elbow challenging for an header with Szlob and wasn’t booked then he lunged into Ekitike who couldn’t continue
