It was clarks shoe shops where i remember seeing them and I think i was bombarded with x rays on a couple of occasions

There was also a thing in Clarks that you put your foot in, like a box, and from all 4 sides meta came out till it hit your foot and it measured your width and size. I used to like that.

They still have those ones at the right at Clarks not quite the same as that but still a big plastic measuring contraption that really scared my kids no idea why
