So my son has a new girlfriend. She is absolutely lovely. She is also black.

I have some anxiety over this cos I know full well there are a lot of bigots out there that would be funny about a white lad with a black girlfriend.

What are your views on this. How prevalent is racism these days?

Celebrate the fact that your son has found someone special.
My daughter has the most wonderful fella, loving, kind, funny....and of mixed race.
My son has a partner that is American, older than him, has 3 kids...and a multi millionaire.
The only fact that matters is that they are all very happy.

No problem with me at all. Love is love at the end of the day. Whether it’d be race, age, sexuality etc, it makes absolutely no difference to me.
