Umm I think I'm applying to Nottingham, Loughborough, Kent, Lancaster and East Anglia, although I'm not completely sure yet. How about you? Last edited by MTVN; 05-11-2010 at 06:22 PM. |

Waste of time getting qualifications when you don't even need them (as loads of people do)

I'd rather get in contact with the Uni myself |

I've worked in HR and currently a sub-manager dealing with a million xmas temp applications and interviews, I don't care about qualifications apart from the basics, don't know many people who do, experience, work ethic and potential is where it all counts. Its a misconception that crap qualifications = crap job and vice versa

However, statistically graduates do get paid a lot more over the course of their lives than non-graduates do. If you want to end up in a high-end job than you will, in the majority of cases, need a degree to get there. Degrees aren't the best option for everyone, but they're not worthless Last edited by MTVN; 05-11-2010 at 08:35 PM. |

One of the reasons the stats you cite show graduates going into higher paid jobs is because of those who are genuinely there for careers and have high aspirations
