Its pissing me off that all the newpapers, tv shows ect talking about tonight's double "elimination" keep calling it a double eviction.
This is not Big Brother! Idiots Last edited by daniel-lewis-1985; 10-10-2010 at 03:56 PM. |

I know what you mean. They're making it more noticeable that they're ripping off Big Brother trying to do twists and things. Although I suppose they are evicted from the finalists house too. lol |

You wouldnt say "my friend got evicted from the club" if one of your mates got chucked out of a club would you? Or My friend was evicted from asda for stealing a tub of i cant believe its not butter Its not the same Its all about using it in the right context and for both examples above you would say "ejected" not evicted Last edited by daniel-lewis-1985; 10-10-2010 at 04:07 PM. |

Eviction means to EVICT someone from their house.
Elimination means to ELIMINATE someone from something. I agree with Dan. This is not Big Brother, no matter how much ITV want it to be.

Maybe the term should just be "voted off"... "Elimination" sounds cheesy.

evict
to legallly force someone to leave a bulding or piece of land but I don't see the big deal it just demonstrates Big Brother's impact on TV
