Best case scenario is she was sold to a childless couple and raised as theirs. She won't even remember her biological parents at this point, and why would she want to be reunited with the people who left her unattended while they were at the pub?

There are far worse places than here that have gone after the McCanns for years. Some of the stuff Chuff posted from other groups was far worse than people stating they were negligent for leaving the kids alone and were they not as educated and able to afford the legal team they have, would probably have been investigated for some form of child abandonment.

I don't think it's trolling to point out that most parents wouldn't leave their children alone in an appartment like that, nor to say that it should be flat out illegal to do so at such a young age.

Frankly Livia if you were to tell me that you would even consider, for a second, leaving your own kids alone like they did... I'd have to assume you were lying.

On what grounds would they prosecute exactly? Because regardless of what actually happened to Maddie, THEY left her alone. An indisputable fact, not a lie.

Because the people who abducted/bought her in this situation would be guilty of a significantly worse crime

Children can and are snatched daily from gardens shops, by their parents side, in their homes etc If a paedo wants to snatch a kid he does it. Let's not pretend otherwise.

That is why I said it may never had happened.

As a parent you should never put yourself in a situation where you're children are alone and vulnerable whilst you are out on the piss. I personally could not live with the guilt that my actions may have put my child in danger.

You are right in saying the scenarios listed above could happen and that is awful....leaving your children alone is negligent. Had they have been properly supervised, there may not have been the opportunity to snatch Maddie.

I do hope there is a conclusion on this case, there has been too much money spent on one child when millions of others who don't have wealthy parents have been forgotten.
