Default What’s your drinking pattern been like since lockdown started?

Do you still see it as the reserve of the weekend (if you still have any sense of time) or are you drinking more often?

Never.

I don't drink alcohol at home unless there's an occasion really.

I've only used alcohol in cooking over the past 2 months (two steak and ale pies, turned out very nicely )

I had been drinking a lot more but the whole lockdown thing has started to take a toll on me mentally so I’ve been avoiding the stuff for about a week now just to feel a bit more in control and I plan on avoiding it until well after lockdown is over.

I'm not a big drinker, I only drink at home when I'm having people over. Since we locked down I've only drunk once and it just felt pointless.

I generally don't drink at all any more (weddings, stag parties, MAYBE a "big" birthday like someone's 30th/40th) but even back when I was "a drinker", I've never liked drinking at home. So... never.

In fact the last time I had a drink at all was September 2018?? What the ****??? I thought it was LAST September . I thought it was a wedding 6 months ago but it turns out that was actually 18 months ago. This is sort of worrying, I've lost a year somewhere... ummm...

I've ticked 'very occasionally/never', but obviously I'm not drinking at all right now.

I gave it up after I overdosed on Pills and Alcohol a few years ago when I was in a bad place. There’s been moments out of boredom where I have felt tempted, but still going strong.

Sorry to hear that BL, good to hear you are in a better place now

Pretty normal, I am working through the week as normal so all structure has not gone out the window

I’ve had a few drinks now and again but I just don’t enjoy drinking in the house most of the time, it just feels like empty calories and quite pointless.

When lockdown first started I was drinking most days of the week and I still am drinking a fair bit now. Lately when I’ve been in work tho I’ve been feeling more tired than usual and I reckon this could be something to do with it so I think now I’m gonna just try and stick to drinking on Fri, Sat & Sunday nights instead.

A couple of bottles isn’t the smallest lot.

I drink Thursday to Saturdays normally. 4 off and 3 on. Now I start on a Wednesday but it’s no more than a few cans of beer these days. I’ve cut out spirits and even wine.

Yh I mean sometimes on a Thursday I’ll have a drink but because I’m working the next day I’ll only have a few cans of beer. Lately tho I’ve been drinking on days I wouldn’t normally and I wanna try and get back to just having a drink on the weekends again.
