I think malicious is too strong a word. I think they were just being bitchy schoolgirls and grasping at the simplest things that made her different. Like inarticulate people always do. I'd say they were moderately racist but not to extent it was portrayed in the media.

No she probably wouldn't have won then but she didn't ask for them to treat her like that so It's hardly her fault that she won under those circumstances, she had no clue what was going on outside. Plus she was nothing but graceful when asked about it afterwards. I remember watching and feeling so angry at the way she was being treated in there and it was horrible to watch. Did the media go too far after? probably, was that Shilpas fault? absolutely not. Does that change what actually happened in there and make it ok? No.

Yeah, I felt really sorry for her because she simply did not deserve the abuse she was getting. I know the word "bully" is thrown around a lot on BB these days, but thats exactly what those three were.

It's worth mentioning Chuff, that it wasnt simply an isolated case of calling her popadom, it was persistent bullying, and I do think Danielle was possibly the worst, I remember her calling her a "dog" and telling her to "f off home" at one point. Disgraceful.

exactly, she's been called "stuck up" here by someone which I think is unfair and untrue, I thought she had a lovely manner and just very polite, probably something that those scummy girls were not used to.
