Tbf, we just had Durham pride and there was a lot of over representation of pink

Was very pretty though. Loads still have rainbow flags hanging up

Wikipedia reports that less than 2% of the male populus are gay so it proves that gays on this programme are overbearingly disproportionate to the broad cross section of the populous. One gay in less than 50 contestants is the norm so why the outrage about only one gay in the ensembled contestants. The editors are probably sick of the homophobic issues that follow nearly every gay contestant and want to reevaluate their involvement.

I would honestly put in terms of males I personally know...around 1/10 are gay. 2% is FAR too low.

Which educated authorities would these be?

Would this cross section include/be mainly places where gay people are likely to be very much in the closet as its illegal to be gay where they are and such?

What percentage of the UK population is gay?

Yes but the audience have to feel represented and the percentage of gay viewers is certainly not 1.7%

It's definitely higher

I've never taken part in a survey like that so I don't know how many people it actually represents

And if it's from a census then my sexuality wouldn't have been disclosed because it was a long time ago

I'm sure next time around the figure will be much higher
