My dad loves (to this day) telling a tale from about 30 years ago, where he had recorded a Celtic game to watch when we got home from shopping, and a neighbour stopped him as we got out of the car to ask if he watched the game. He said no, and not to tell him the score as he was about to watch a recording... to which the neighbour said "Ahh OK I won't spoil it - but it was a boring game anyway, there weren't any goals".
This is basically his all-time favourite "dad story".

bahahaha That sounds like my mother. She was telling me about some film she watched and I said don't tell me the whole story, I might watch it sometime and she says "I won't, can I just tell you the end?"
