Louis Walsh has admitted that he may not return for next year's X Factor, confessing that he doesn't find the show fun anymore.

Walsh said in an interview with My Daily that the show was taking over his life and that he preferred the old judging lineups.

Speaking with ex-X Factor judge Dannii Minogue, Walsh said: "Lucky you, Dannii, you are so lucky. Series eight is so tough, Dannii. There's no fun. Everyone is taking it so seriously.

"I thought you had an entourage, Dannii. But these [judges], their entourages have entourages."

Asked to name his dream X Factor panel, he picked all old judges, naming Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Minogue.

Talking about returning to the show in 2012, Walsh claimed that his decision was in the balance.


"At this moment in time, it's 50/50. You only live once. I want my life back. I don't want to be dealing with all these crazy people. And by that I mean the judges," said the Irish music mogul.

Walsh also confessed that he has zero chance of winning this year's competition with his final act Kitty Brucknell. "I'm not going to win. I'm definitely not going to win," he said.
