I don't think Chris meant any harm or offence by it, and not saying any of you think he did. He was obviously trying to say something good about Connor.
However, I think it's just because Chris isn't bright enough to work out that there is no such thing as a stereotypical Irish man or a general stereotype person of any nationality.
And it's not a good idea to imply that there is something not as good about most men 4m Ireland.
No one likes their country insulting if you want to get on their good side.
