I'm not sure whether or not i'm alone in this but anybody else have issues with Sarah's ideologies about gender? The other day when she spoke about needing a wealthier man, it made logical sense to me as she has a child and thus a fiscal responsibility. That being said, in yesterday night's show she said that the man should be the 'chaser' and that in her eyes, it should be a man proposing. This comment here along with the comment previously about needing a wealthier man made me think - are Sarah's ideologies so deeply engrained in the gender binary that she fails to see how maintaining those views so strongly put a inherent pressure on both males and females? I don't really like comments like this because firstly it characterizes the female as the 'sex object' that needs to be 'chased' while simultaneously forcing the male into that 'dominant'/'pursuer' category. Thoughts?
