And if Trump does get the nomination then who knows what could happen. Clinton will almost certainly be the Democrat but I don't think she's thought of that highly amongst non-Democrats. She's been involved in quite a few scandles and people don't like the fact that she's part of a career politician Clinton dynasty. I actually think the Republicans will win in 2016 never mind who the candidate is: I think Trump will probably fall a bit short but it is definitely possible.

I didn't realise all this. I just assumed it was a foregone convulsion that it would be Jeb/Hillary. It's a bit worrying really, because like you I also think the Republicans stand the best chance of winning. (Glad I don't live in America right now
