Yeah I kind of got that impression too when I listened to it, it's not her typical lead single, and even down to her style and the way she's dressing right now which has always been a big part of who she is as an artist seems to be much more 'normal' and relaxed... and natural. And people are saying the vocals sound odd but they only sound different because they're untreated, and again, natural (unlike most of her peers). So it seems much more like she's just doing something that she wants to do, rather than try and do something that'll please everyone's expectations (which is what she's probably had to do her whole career so far).
