i saw this on watchdog live last night
empty pizza boxes (who have heavy greasy stains in them) can't be recycled cause the greasy stain can't be cleaned it is better to throw them with the regular garbage  https://www.recyclenow.com/what-to-do-with/pizza-boxes more information on this site as well
