There are HUGE problems with ants and wasps in summer. And often maggots if you lift the bags up .

Rats etc. aren't much of an issue here but if the lid is open even a bit then the foxes will get in. We usually end up just taking excess bags to the dump ourselves. Or I take them to work and sneak them in the massive ones out the back that belong to the chinese take away next door .
