2002-2004 and 2007 for me.

The 2000s were really interesting for music in general...

2002-2004 because of the general sound that was present during that time. R&B was at its finest...

2007 probably because I was 12 and finding my place in the world, and that year screams nostalgia for me. The music was also edgy and cool, people actually took risks, which were not made in ‘05 and ‘06...

Don’t get me wrong 2000 and 2001 were also good, the Y2K/Futuristic vibe was cool but it eventually became tiring and repetitive...

2005 and 2006 were generally really dry and weak years for music, nothing really caught my eye, nobody dared step out of their comfort zone.

2008 was just ****e in general and the quality of music began dropping, it was the start of the decline.

2009 was actually kind of good. There were a lot of memorable songs, and probably nostalgia as well...

Though the main reason why I didn’t vote for it was because of MJ’s death, which I still can’t come to terms with...
