I would not have machinery going though, maybe lawn mower but that would only be for an hour or so.

In rusti's case, if I knew she was having family and/ or friends for a day in the garden as in a BBQ.
I'd not want to, out of consideration want to spoil their day.
The guys who do my garden also would never be there outside a normal weekday.

My neighbour has just mowed her lawn, mowing is not really an issue you know its not going on for hours, unless you were like my last neighbour who seemed to manage to spend the whole day mowing with hourly breaks inbetween revving up a chainsaw for hours on end is a different matter
